A very nice paintjob, Ncholas. The desert yellow seems to be very accurate
As Carl wrote, F version is the most streamlined of the 109 genre.
But is the leading plane painted white on the underside?

Hi John your African Emils look fantastic. After I finish fleshing out my BoB Gruppe I will be following your example.
Thanks Carl.
As always, the camera shows all the bits you wish it wouldn't, but on the table they're ok.
Next the Hurricanes
Lest we forget
Very nice, John!
I'll use them as a reference when I do mine.

Good job on the 109s John

Nice repaints, John.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Very pretty 109s!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Picked up my latest batch of Battle of Britain squadron packs today (2 109s, 2 Spits) and decided to deviate from the supplied decals. My existing Bf 109E-4s of Adolf Galland and Walter Horten needed another Rotte, so I chose to finish these two 109E-3s as 9.Staffel, III./JG26.
These miniatures required no repainting, only the application of 9.JG26 decals - the Schlageter crest, red 'Hellhound' symbol and the yellow numbers and bars. The decals are Goblin Factory.
Reference material indicated that Hauptmann Galland often flew into combat with 9.Staffel, so much so that at one point in August 1940 he had the red 'Hellhound' emblem painted on the fuselage of his own 'Stabschwarm' aircraft.
Yellow 10 was flown by Oberleutnant Wilhelm Fronhöfer, who was credited with three victories from May to August 1940. On 31 August 1940 Oblt. Fronhöfer was himself shot down over England by Pilot Officer Colin Gray of 54 Squadron RAF, spending the rest of the war in captivity.
Yellow 9 was flown by a number of pilots, the last being Feldwebel Otto Jaros who was shot down over Essex during a 'Jabo' mission on 15 November 1940.
Nice work on those "Emils" Carl!
Thanks Barry. I have decals left over to do a few more 9.JG26 Emils but I'm up to 20 now and even I am starting to wonder how many is too many!
Of course I will need just a few more to repaint in North African colours, but I need to make sure I don't buy EVERY 109 shipped to Australia.
Some great 109s! I always loved desert camo planes, these are great. Really nice 109s Carl. I wish Goblin Factory still made those decals.
Super 109s Carl!
I REALLY want to find time to do mine - yours are a great inspiration.

This is just what I have been after to complete my Rote too.
Thanks for the cards Mike, and thanks for the tip about Goblin Factory Carl.
Smart work again.

Thanks Darryl.
That saved me going on a wild goblin chase.
I will do that.

An alternate version of the above cards? Thoughts?

Redone with Pilot names on the card backs.

Thanks Mike, the cards look great
I would give you rep but I have to spread it around a bit first.
Sorry, Carl.
I redid the cards, to match the 92 Sqn Spitfire format. Now the Bf-109 card backs have the pilot info, too.

Even more superb Mike.
Thanks once more.

Very Nice job!! Planes an Cards look great!
Bf 109 is the most produced fighter in history. And naturally the most often painted model in the Aerodrome community.
Here are my two Fs and two Gs. AIR 200 miniatures.
For all of them I also made cards, which you can find in the Files section.
I like those a lot Kubajs.
A very nice change from the usual camo.

Plane on the right, in the first image, is an interesting camo scheme. I checked the cards, but the pilot/unit wasn't included. I found that the plane was a Bf 109 F-4, flown by Ofw Eberhard von Boremski, 9./JG 3, May 1942.
I really like the plane, and the card. Very nice work!

Fantastic minis, Kubajs.
Rep guns jammed!

Great Job!! I like the fact that you had a pilot to go with the plane, makes it more interesting when your playing!!
Brilliant work Kubjas. Nice choice of liveries too.
It's been almost 3 years since the last Bf 109 show here - how come, pilots? That is why I decided to finally finish my long term project and post pics taken right today.
Below you can see three 1:200 minis by AIM painted in a standard RLM 74/75/76 camo scheme with JG 53 insignia.
Some masking and airbrushing plus decals and they are ready to fly. G6 version, cards in Hungarian colours (I had only those ones - never mind, stats are what really counts).

Very nice Andy. You are so correct, its been too long since the last 109 posting. I'm ordering some now!
Excellent work! I wonder were I put my little Luftwaffe . . .
Nice paintjob, Andrzej.

Excellent painting, Andrzej!
Great looking aircraft Andrzej - Nice work on the detailing
Nicely done Andrzej.

Thanks for all your comments, chaps.
But you know, when I stirr the paints and turn on my spraygun stuff it'd be stupid to stop after 3 minis...
So there are 4 more G 6/10 painted and decaled in Minor Axis colours waiting to be showed. One has just been sent to Keith for some obvious reason. The rest of the squad will be posted one day....
