Time well spent when not at Cold Wars. Nice job. I put a hold on my mail when I was going to the con so I have some planes (WWI) I should get Monday. Should keep me busy the next few days.

Turned out great Peter. How are determining prop diameter size for your various fighters?
And what do you use to get them to fit cone shaped nose?
Ok, Peter, I am picking up the gauntlet, buddy - if I use the expression correctly .
Watch this thread...
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
These props measured 14, same as ones that Keith makes. I have a stash of all 3 of his sizes on hand. Sometimes I cut down his 19mm when its in between the 14 and 19.
I use an Xacto. Spinning it you can open up the hole at an angle. Be careful not to cut your fingers that hold the prop, I've done it!
Nice paint jobs! The yellow nose JG26 is one of my all time favorites.
OK, let's have a look at the Axis Minors: the Hungarian Puma Squad members flying Bf 109G 6/10.
Originally I painted and decaled 4 of these, but one G 10 has been sent to Keith and if Herr Oberst sees it fits the bill will be available in the third LL Raffle.
Some notes. Few of you may know anything about very special PL-HU relations in history. Although Hungarian language belongs to the Ugro-Finnish group and is very strange to that part of Europe, both nations shared some royal dynasty members. One of the Polish kings in XVI (the pick of our European glory), Stefan Batory of Hungarian origin was without a doubt the most succesful warrior king in our history. In XIX, during the Hungarian revolution, Polish artillery commander, Józef Bem, had his days of glory becoming both nations superstar. In our nations' "popular memory" we've been always allied.
That was not true during the WWII, for the Hungarians joined the Axis side. However, they refused Hitler's proposal to join his invasion on Poland. During the Warsaw Rising in 1944 some Hungarian cavalry units were stationed near Warsaw, but they were very friendly and helpful to civilians.
Thus my choice to add some of the Hungarian 109s to my collection (along with 4 Falcos already repainted).

A very fine bunch of aircraft they are too Andy.
Thanks for the History teach in as well.

Great stuff Andy. Like you I like to do different countries planes (like my Thai AF). I have some planes coming from Dave (AIM) this week and have something different for one of them. Stay tuned.
Now there is something different! Excellent choice Andy and a break from the usual. You, Zoe and Bob have some of the most unique plane collections.
Bf 109-E Nothing special. Touched up paint with testors German ww2 colors. New decals for 6/53. No specific pilots just different aircraft.

Nicely done Chee911sc.
Great painting, Chee911sc!

Excellent painting job!

Thank you all
The subject is treated on the site "Le Cirque Volant" in French (but google translate can help); if that is not clear I could try to transpose my remarks in English. The first aircraft described is the Spitfire and the second the Me Bf 109:Please tell us a little about them, brand of paint, decals, etc.

Look! Spitfires & Messerschmitts sometimes are flying over better 'sod'unlucky for some poor sod!

How do you know that phillip milcoll73? you are a soothsayer? I cut my finger last Monday
No model is complete until the Modeling Gods have had their blood sacrifice...

But have you had Xacto thigh Phil?
I knocked an exacto off the modelling table with my elbow a couple of weeks back. It found its angle of attack like a dart straight into mmy leg just above the knee. Then the counterweight of the handle took effect and it flipped out and decended into the floor having somehow managed to overcome the counterweight of the handle and went in point first where it quivered for a few seconds before the tip broke off. Poetry in motion, but it ruined a pair of my trousers on the way down.
That should placate the gods for a while.

Very nice Dave. Hmmm, you have quite the collection going, when will you be running a game at Origins?
Thanks Rob and Peter.
As far as Origins goes....you never know. Maybe some day. A dog fight over the desert while some Ju88's strike a port or stronghold of some sort could be interesting and unique.
Well painted,Dave! They look good.
Cheers! David
Great pair of 109s Dave!

"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Those are among the sweetest looking 109's I've seen. Well done.
Xacto knife rolled off my workbench and landed right in my bare foot. I was only wearing flip fops. I still cannot believe the blood trail I left from that seemingly tiny puncture.

New-to-me Bf 109 E-4/Trop drawing, not a split Top/Bottom one either. Researching Werner Schroer, both the planes could be his. He was a Leutnant on arriving in Libya, and is recorded as flying Red 8 in 8./JG 27. However, he was 'promoted' to the position of Adjudant in I./JG 27 (March 1942), and that would have meant his plane would have had a single cheveron (The decal looks like a cheveron and a dot, but different JGs used subtly different indicators, at times).
PS: Or perhaps this guy:
