To date I've only done one of these planes. It's really a shame as they are good looking birds!

Karl Degelow:
You guys are off to a great start - very nice birds!

A couple of new Phalz from my collection
Shytrex Model with Reviresco decals
Ltn Wunsch
Jasta 22
Ltn Busso von Alvensleben
Jasta 21
Man, where do you find the time to paint all of these!
shift work
Like you Jasta 5 bird Cal, your prancing horse decal is much sharper than mine, is it a homemade one ?
I am fortunate enough to have a graphic designer working with me in my Realestate office... Any decal I see that I need I then create.
They are indeed splendid works of art Cal.
Rob.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. Much apprecieted.
Simply fantastic planes there guys
That last blue and silver one is quite yummy!
My last official Phalz
Vzfw Otto Schulz
Jasta 20
Nice one Chris, and very individual markings.
Rob.
Is the Otto one an actual one? It looks cool. Where can I find the markings for it to look at?
Hi Cal, I found this on a Rise of Flight site and then on the Aerodrome forum in a listing of Phalz from the late Dan San Abbott.
So as far as I know he is real.
One variation shows the Phalz with a white tail
Any picture links you can find would be greatly appreciated. I think I will make one..
This is the rise of flight link
From here I went to the aerodrome, but the link doesn't work now ?
Try google Otto Schulz images you will get a couple more.
If you a member of the aerodrome ask them, the original link had a good half dozen profiles of Phalz from Mr Abbott

Great planes all of you!!!!But what a beautiful collection Calfaber!!!!!
Jasta 5 = perfect!!!
Thanks!!!
Nick
Very sharp, well done!
Thank you - glad you like it!
Beautiful! I will soon start to paint my first planes but will go easy at the start and paint up some Sopwith Pups. No hard schemes to begin with. Later on when I get up my confidence
I'll tackle some Germans. It will be nice to have a flight of 3-4 planes in the same Jasta colors.
Nice work guys!
Cal, that is Pflazmania extreme. Very well done.
Sir,
Those are simply some of the most beautiful repaints I have seen on a forum that regularly showcases the awesome work some of our members are capable of. Bravo!
Chris
Tim.
Great work.
If you are considering doing any of the other aircraft in the Jasta, do drop me a P.M.

Great work Tim !
That's a seriously nice Pfalz. Kudos.
Did you airbrush it or all hand brushed?
Karl

It's hand painted - I have an airbrush, and a compressor, bought around ten years ago, but I've never had them out of the box (techno-phobia!). I really must give them a go sometime. I had a little trouble with the white paint; it doesn't show on the model on the table, but the close-up pictures do show it up a bit.
Not WoG but a Pfalz D.IIIa:
by Roden 1:72
VzFw. Schüschke - Jasta 64w (horizontal stabilzer with black and red stripes - colors of Württemberg)
Serial number is a self mad dekal.
Wire bracing is a yaw string.
... together with Albatros D.Va of Jasta 5 (green tail with red border)
Roden 1:72
Decals are self made - Wire bracing with modelling wire (0,5 mm)
Nice!
That is certainly a colour scheme to attract attention Alex.
You have achieved a very nice effect with the painting.
Must have a very steady hand.
Rob.

You all have done some marvelous work on these little scouts! Time to get some Shapeways Pfalz DIIIs and paint 'em up (since the Nexus/Ares versions are scarce and so expensive).
Thanks for the inspiration, folks!
All the best,
Matt
Nice looking Pfalz Alex.
