Excellent Tim. Now everyone will want Belgians. I see the ebay prices for the Olieslagers, Coppens and RE8 skyrocketing!

  5. #155

    Default

Yes, I used to see a lot of Coppens just hanging out. Now, they are hard to find.

Shabby weathered mini, but not too shabby a paint scheme match!

Repainted some Nieuport 17 to add to my Italian Airforce.

Took the base Ares Baracca Nieuport and this is what I have.

First, a home made decal. Quarter moon. Seen this marking in the Italian aces book.

Second, I saw this marking in the Italian Aces book. I used a Misc Mini WWII Japanese set to get the red circle. I then used an I-94 set for the white star. Put the red circle down first and the star on top. Turned out really good.

Third, another home made decal. Again, marking I saw in Italian Aces book. I really like how this one turned out.

This is more of a thank you to Mikeemagnus than a look at my painting mainly because he very kindly produced the flight number decals for me and because the painting is pretty simple.

    So thank you Mike

They are notionally 29 Squadron C flight about April 17 I won't go into my reasons for the colours and codes because there is a lot of confusion and I don't want to set any hares running, but suffice to say I quite like the fact that they are a little colourful.

You have to admit, whoever did the number and letter decals made a damn good job of them. thanks again Mike.

I was expecting to make a bugger of applying the decals and so have some left over in blue and red so if anyone would like some let me know. Only proviso is you post your planes here.
    Cheers

They would just like everyone to calmly lay down their weapons and leave the pretty countryside... and for their allies to stop attacking them in the air.
