I'll start this off with my Nieuport 17 Challenge winner, Cpt. Harry S. Gwinne. Okay, it's my only Ni-17 to show off!

Wait, that was not my only Ni-17!!! This Nungesser repaint was so easy, I almost forgot about it!
I'll join the party then.

Very nice paint job, but the loss of the gun was a bit careless of some German armourer Dave.

One of my first repaints Nungesser
Here is my latest Nieuport of Captain Campbell.
Cool looking Nieuport's there folks keep up the good work
Hummm, thought I had posted my Mick Mannock's N23 before but cant see it in the thread. Must have been in the Shapeways section before we got the Official Painting section going.
So for what its worth see below:

I do like your cone of penetration on the nose Barry. It certainly takes it out of the ordinary silver Nieuport status. I wish I had done my Mannock in that variation now.
Rob.
Fictional one Hector - as a captured machine I wanted to make it obviously German and what better scheme than their nations flag !
Welcome to the 'drome by the way - go and post a hello to the world in the Report for duty section.
So many beautiful Nieuport's in this thread. I just got done reading "Nieuport Aces of WW1". Between it & this thread I'm really ready to do up some N11's for the OtT Early War campaign!
Another bevy of beauties James.
Not a bad output for a man who did not get a Christmas break.
Clipper been Lend Leasing you some of his Elves?

To many issues with their unions and they tend to disappear around Christmas time so I use Japanese kitsune spirits, they can be a little mischievous at times but they get the job done! Although I won't employ any with less than 5 tails, need to be pretty clever to rig at 1/144 scale!
excellent work - a fine quartet!
Thanks Tim, I have 4 pups on the bench right now.... those will be the last of my Entente aircraft for now
Very nice John.
I'm sure they will do us proud.

Those do look fine in line echelon Michael.
Silver is not the easiest metallic paint to apply without showing marks.
Did you spray it on or use a brush?
Rob.

To James a nice double brace there, can't wait to see them in action on the OTT front.
To John a very nice duo again can't wait to see them ina ction.
To Michael, now why aint that lovely trio flying missions in the OTT early doors campaign?
See you on the Dark Side......
Thanks for the compliments. Rob, I brush painted those. Those are Shapeways models, the only thing that I really don't like about them is the surface has a gritty appearance and I noticed that after I finished painting them. I've tried to fix that problem with subsequent Shapeways models without any real success, usually end up with broken or gouged models that should go in the trash but are still on the workbench. Neil, I was in one of the earlier OTT campaigns a couple years ago but stopped after about 5 or 6 scenarios due to professional and personal problems. I may join in a future campaign.
I also found the Shapeways to be grainy even when spraying, especially in silver, hence my comment. i have used various methods reccomended here for improving the surface, and they do help a lot, but the difficulty I still find is in maintaining a perfect line thickness when painting fine detail. However, as you will have noticed the grain is a lot less noticeable on the table than in a photograph.I do hope that you will find time to rejoin us in our OTT. campaign. You may have spotted that time has slipped backwards, so our characters are a lot greener than they were by 1918. Otherwise it is business as usual.

Very nice, Michael!
Extremely nice work all. Just love those Neuports!
Nice Job Darell.
I can never get those red decals to show up on the silver myself.
You have achieved it very well there.

A very nice pair of Neiuports Darryl, nicely done, the Red storks are they decals or hand painted ?
Never understood why we have never had some of the planes of the British Aces - Albert Ball for instance - I know they are not as unique and pretty as the German schemes but still COME ON ARES GIVE US BALL, McCUDDEN, MANNOCK etc. !!!!!
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
More Nieuports to ogle over and very fine too John.
I concur with Chris, we should have Ball etc, but Ares can't suit everyone's wishes all at once.

I am glad to find this thread and see all of the great Nieuports out there. My brother and I have split a Valom two pack kit. He has not built his kit yet as he was busy with the D.VII contest (another Valom kit). Perhaps you have seen Bob's Ulrick Neckel D.VII. Bob is not just my Brother, but a great modeler! Anyway while he was building the D.VII I tried my best with the Nieuport - Charles Nungesser.. I decided (after rigging my DH.2) to go back and do the same for the N.17. So far I have completed the wing rigging. Landing gear and stabilizer control cables will be next after I get myself a small enough pin drill bit.. I found my pin drill bit and proceeded to finish the rigging and control cables. A couple of additional photos.. The essentially ridged monofilament thread goes along way to the ease of installation. Still fiddly!!!! Here is a final photo "in the air"

That is a stunner William. Your brother isn't the only builder with skills
Hats off to anyone who can build those without changing the struts and undercart William.
Superb kits, but I can't manage those flimsy brass parts.

This is of course a French Adventure.
This is a Valom model.
She said "Why do you play with Germans in your solo campaign?" And you have to be very careful when you reply to your French girlfriend. "Well..."
"The Gerrmans invaded Frrance, oui?" She really doesn't have a strong French accent, but I'm a sucker for French accent, sorry.
So, what do I tell her? "The painting schemes and a sense of medieval chivalry..." I think that she likes me, because she bought it...
Then I have this idea... And I paint this plane for her.
The details will come later. But the double fishes is important.
And she loved the Nieuport. And she took most of the pictures.
And I can still play Joachim Lisbon... She frown at it but finally accepted it. It's the Lisbon part, I guess...
This Valom kit is beautiful. But as usual, a bit hard to build.
That is a great looking plane Joaquim
Really like the fish
