Default Good News, Bad News, Good News, Uncertain News

Good News: My wife informed me that my WWI Revised Deluxe Set arrived today.

Bad News: I'm not going to be home until late tonight, so I have to wait until I can open it.

Good News: I'm out because I'm at one of my gaming groups tonight.

Uncertain News: I don't know what we're playing tonight... Hope it's something good!

Sounds like good news all around to me. Better when you get home and see your deluxe set.

Well I have to say... It's pretty cool!

Although it seems like the wings, certain body parts etc. aren't painted underneath. Nor do they have pilots... Is that standard?

Anyway, who cares, I bought them to play with. They're not concourse queens...!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, this evening's game turned out to be War of the Roses. I lost fairly decisively, but it was still fun, which is the mark of a good game for me...

Took the new bombers down my club tonight to show them off. Caproni's definitely got more interest than the Gothas so am having to work on a scenario for next week. At least it will guarantee an outing for the A-H stuff that I have painted but not used yet.

Sounds like ALL good news to me! (apart from the War of the Roses)
Have not heard of any aircraft in that Box set not being fully painted.
Can you take some pics to show the undersides.

Nah... War of the Roses is one of those games you look at and go "Ooooh!"... It takes a game to familiarise yourself with the rules, but it's genuinely good fun!

I'll see if I can get a photo this evening...

Glass half full, glass half empty Doug. No matter as long as it has G&T in it.

See from an engineer's standpoint, I'd say that the glass is simply twice as big as it needs to be...

Nah! Doug. It is impossible to have a Gin glass that is too big.

After looking at another post where someone had painted their plane "linen" colour, I'm wondering if the that's why the underneath is "unpainted"... Oops! :embarass:

It just looked like the minis hadn't been painted underneath before the decals had been applied... Or is it meant to be camoflage against the sky?

For the Germans light blue is correct, but you need two letter B to put on the underneath of Baumers bird

Doug I envey you for getting the Delux set. I missed getting one from not going to a Con last year AWWWWW. I would not do anything to the minis. You are lucky to get them so no worries.
