Great pics Rob... Any idea who belonged to the "zero magnet" plane? Talk about some luck!

    Thumbs up

Great pics Rob. Love the young pilot with the Flying Helmet, he looked pretty pleased with the outcome!
Incidently there looked like way too many Allied Aircraft on fire or smoking.
Hope you returned the favour to our friendly Huns.

    Yes Ken.
It was Dave (Stormkahn's) son Will. He ended up as overall pilot of the day with Four victories plus one chased off.
That score on cards of ninteen before being shot down is a record for GB. the previous best being 17.
    Rob.

As one of the totally impartial games refs I could not possibly comment.

Thank you for posting these pictures. They look great. It is especially good to see the young pilots. Was that an orange pipe-cleaner you were using as a flame marker, please?

Great pics of what looks like a very successful day.

'a Kyte's eye view. ( Sheffield Tripples day one.)' - too many celebatory tipples at the Triples perhaps?

It was a great day, Will is still buzzing from that 19 card run...but take a closer look and count the number of jams too......

For bonus points spot the pink spit in the WW2 game!!

    cheers,

    Dave.

Alas! I spotted it several times getting the head-on view with dirty big muzzle flashes as a bonus.

I wound up walking home as my 109 fell apart around me.

Seriously chaps you should have been there. A great couple of days, loads of interest, loads of new pilots. The instructor pilots were constantly busy, I managed just two - yes figures 2 - cups of tea all day today, and Boney worked absolute wonders conjuring extra aircraft, cards, markers, etc from what seems to be an inexhaustible supply.
(I'm not sure he wasn't running across to the skytrex stand and building them as we went you know)

The Obersts damage card cruet seemed to be the most remarked on accessory btw. I'm going to have to invest myself in one of those.

    Many thanks to all involved

Hi Dave, yes an orange pipe cleaner , bent over to wrap around a wing for flames, we also had black for smoke.
Not as detailes as the AA ones but a cheap alternative and looks effective

Think your refering to my kite. Had a great game, but rudder was jammed for a bit of it. Ended up almost flying off the table top. End of game only had two flame tokens left even tough I was in some of the thickest action I'd seen in a long time. It seems that even when I was in it, I usually had one of my wing men next to me shielding me from the fire of the hated Brit pilots. Perhaps that why Manfred was so lucky!!!!!
