Have a good weekend Dave, and don't forget the pictures!
Rob.
See you there Dave - looking forward to this one :)
See you there Squadron Leader, Sir! :salute:
Arrived last night, have a day with m'lady before the show. Camera is charged Wingco.
Good man.
Enjoy the day with your good lady, and the show.
Rob.
Pics are up - start from #45 in this thread if anyone wants to see what we got up to.

Continuing from the Most Effective Squadrons thread ...
I didn’t check Early Doors so missed what you were referring to, Dave.
That’s kinda what I meant.
I will consolidate all three periods into a final summary when we are done if you like.
I will use the Squadron Sheet to get the figures.
There is a summary at the end of all the campaign threads bar the current one Pete if that helps.
Thanks Dave.
I will tackle it when we are done with The Bitter End.
Gentlemen, a new player Thomas (Thomas NH) will be joining the campaign for the final push and flying for the Bulldogs. His participation will be a little different in that his German Element will be flown by his younger brother as well as the AI so this will be interesting to see.
Please join me in welcoming him to the Mess :pint:
 Welcome Thomas & watch that Hun (your brother!) on your 6. :fokker::guns::cheezy:
Welcome Thomas to the longest running campaign on the Drome. I shall be watching the sky for you. :)
Welcome Thomas. Great to have you on board :) :pint::pint::pint: And a big welcome too for younger brother. Enjoy, the both of you !!!!!!
Good to have new blood with us for the last push Thomas.
It may even wake up my Italian Wing a bit.
Kyte.
Welcome to the Campaign Thomas. More Entente reinforcements:eek:... dark forebodings for the war's outcome from the perspective of the Kaiser's Eagles.
Looking forward to your adventures.
Welcome, Thomas (and your nameless brother). ;)
The Bulldogs need fresh blut after my latest outing ...
:crashB:
Welcome Thomas and brother. I do hope you enjoy participating in this campaign.
Eagerly awaiting your first AAR. Good Luck guys.
Thanks all. Looking forward to posting my first AAR, I should be able to play the mission this week.
Uncle will be out of the office from this evening - there may be a watching brief but that will be all until Tuesday sometime.
Don't wreck the Mess !
Now that we are back in business I am hoping to see the April mission posted a.s.a.p.
SWMBO is away for the weekend - perfect chance to get 'er done
:D
:erk: With the bally wounded leg still in the moon boot looks like I will have 4 to catch up on now!:p
Unlikely to happen Pete - BOB ( BB401) was the next person slated for a game but he has not partaken for many months and as the site was fried I was unable to make alternative arrangements. I could post a quick match up but I'm inclined to push this all back a month and give an opportunity for some of the chaps catch up with the lead elements.
Very wise Dave - I would vote for that one. There are quite a few who haven't posted for some time and, maybe, once you get too far behind, the whole thing becomes too daunting :(
Baz - sincerely hope that the moon boot will be removed in the not too distant future! Can't be much fun trying to get about with that weight stuck on the end of you !!!!!!!!
If Bob (BB401) is out of action I have a mission I can put in when one is needed.
OK, I'll make this official - All squadrons will be moved to a rest area for this month - hopefully those able will be able to catch up or at least reduce the deficit somewhat and we will recommence operations May 1st -
A volunteer is better than a pressed man so I will take you up on your offer Peter if you'd like to jump in on May for us with something for early September 1918 - we're nearly there chaps :)
No worries. It will give me a chance to try out the London’s Burning game I received a couple of weeks ago.
Or another test of (coincidentally) BB401’s Battle of Britain scenarios.
;)
Sounds good to me Dave.
Dave my Mission 18 AAr has been lost in the latest glitch :mad::mad:
The result was an RFC victory with the balloon getting to the ground Smitt and lange got a plane each bringing down Boddy and Ashford if that's any help . Not going to re run the game but will move on to Mission 19 if that's good for everyone.
Fingers crossed thtas the last of the Gremlins for this year.
Greetings
I'm glad of the delay.
I have my AAR from mission 19 to post from February, which i started to post (real life got in the way) and then got hit by the down time. Luckily the AAR was all typed up in Word offline. Suffice it to say that the opposing Eagles were really unlucky - though they all survived!
I'll try to run mission 20 this weekend before I go on a business trip on Monday. We have friends coming for the Salute weekend so if I don't do it this weekend it probably won't be done before the weekend of 21/22 April.
Regards
Edward
My apologies to all for having been away. Life has been....complicated for a bit here, but the net of it is I have effectively retired and may have more time for these types of pursuits in the future. Sadly, however, I have dug myself such a hole in the campaign I don't know if I shall be able to dig myself out. Anyone willing to step in with the upcoming mission scenario has my full support. :crashB::surrender:
Never mind Bob - life happens ! You can still play out the rest of the campaign if you'd like to bring your boys back to the front.
Good to have you back Bob - enjoy your retirement and congratulations for that. Believe me it's great :)
Scrap the backlog and start afresh - no harm in that. Your AARs are a joy to read, so I'd hate to think you'd not produce any more!
I too will benefit from the hiatus, I will get back from my Commonwealth Games deployment next week and will start smashing through the six missions I need to catch up!
It will be good to have you back too Carl - your AARs are also sorely missed. :)
Hope we see some AAR's soon ! ;)
In the middle of selling house! I did fly the mission but haven't gotten to writing it up yet. I should get to it next week. Mission 21 needs a couple tweeks but just about ready to go for May 1st.
