All being well I will be arriving Friday afternoon, assuming we are starting around lunchtime /early afternoon as last time?
Gosh, I must say, despite it being months away it is a really good feeling to be planning for something like this now :D
No worries Paul. We are all kitted up for it this time.;)
Rob.

For this years Doncaster do we want a badge as usual or not.
Any suggestion for design.
My suggestion was to have our standard badge but the colouring a Gold, if not too expensive, to welcome back the con.
Let me know if interest is there and Ill investigate costing etc
Yes please Chris. Put me down for two as usual.
Rob.
Yarp! for me , too, please!
I'd like 2 of 'em, please.
OK, call me Meyer, but one for me, please. Still believe...
2 for me please Chris
One for me please Chris, I too still believe
Theresa Tam, the Canadian Chief Public Health Officer has made an estimate of upcoming vaccine distribution, and saftey measures for 2021.
The prediction is better than the one February, but Theresa Tam is still suggesting that international travel from Canada will not be recommended in September, even if the vaccine is widely available by August.
My Better Half isn't looking forward to open travel by September, what with variants propagating around the world. I may have to consider 2022. :(
One for me please Chris
I'll have a badge if I may
I would like a 2021 badge, please, Chris.
Thinking ahead to what restrictions might be in place come September.... we might have to rethink the traditional Sunday free for all Ace of Aces shoot out. 20-30 people shoulder to shoulder around one table might not be possible or desirable for all concerned. Happy to consider any possible solutions or suggestions.
I am kicking the first one: if there would be another table (SoG cabin?) we can split into two groups and have WGF and WGS Ace of Aces. It is similar to Origins. I am raising a hand for WGS table and can bring WWII playing cards for division of teams.
Depending on the numbers allowed to rub shoulders it might be an idea to have say 4 tables of x players in a knock out comp over a limited time period of say 30 -40 mins . Top x scorers of each table play on the final table. players for each table can be randomly picked by deal of cards for example.
Good suggestions chaps, keep ‘em coming. Also think we should probably limit tables to six + GM
Got any provisional numbers of peeps apart from the usual suspects ?
Not really... guess it’s a difficult one to call this year, I expect a lot of late decisions. I will start pulling everything together now things are beginning to look more hopefull. I’ll start with a roll call thread.. get a Yes(if allowed), Definite No, and maybe type response.
Message from one of our chaps flying reconnaissance, the Closest Premier Inn to the venue is running short of room availability for those wishing to stay over at the Doncaster event (assuming we are still happening of course)
Could we have a consolidated list of all those who have ordered badges and quantities, it will act as a reminder and final confirmation for Simon.
Neil
Hi Neil
There's a thread here - https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sh...31-Badges-2021
Two badges for me please :) PM sent Chris.
Two badges for me please.
Rob.
I have opened a thread for the badges and updated the orders. Please check that thread and make sure I got your orders correct
Looks like we are full steam ahead at the moment for our get together in September - two months tomorrow we should begin to touch down in this sunny corner of Gods own Country. I will review the various threads, update and publish the list of attendees and games/tables. We do potentially need a couple of volunteers to run a game, so if you are interested and able, please let me know. Mike may have to go to Canada which means he can't run his WW1 game, but I will pick that one up and (Probably) run my 1916 Somme game in its place, so we have that one covered. Anyway chaps... watch this space.
PS. given the removal of restrictions around social distancing and mask wearing etc. looks like we will be able to go ahead with the carnage that is the Sunday morning Ace of Aces game as we have done in previous years...
Yippeeeeeeeee!:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::pint::pint::pint:
And the carnage that is Saturday Mess night :DQuote:
