Thanks Tim! :salute:
Excellent work on the 190s Dave, they look fantastic. AIM?
Hear! hear! Absolutely fantastic job, that man!:FOK:
Excellent paint job Dave. Rep incoming!
Excellent Shrikes, Dave. Where did you get the decals for them?
Karl
Thank you Carl. Yes, they are AIM products.
Some very nicely painted mins in this thread, well done to all.
This took a bit longer than I thought it would...

There might be a few more coming, but not too soon. Two-sided cards are a bit more research.
So, Dave [Caveman], are these all A-7s or something different? And should they all be JG1?
Touch up to the colors, or OK as done (BTW: the RGB values are the closest to Historical RLM 74 and RLM 75 I could do. Which is what the painting references are calling for, but even they don't match the historical references in colors. The finished models don't look the same as almost any paint reference I can find online, nor do they look close to yours)?

Mike, I think you are too hard on yourself when it comes to matching colors. Besides, aircraft at the front will show wear and tear and fading/bleaching and will not retain factory colors forever. As far as I'm concerned your work is impeccable! :sAprvd: Thanks for all you do to enhance the game.
The models are FW-190A3 versions from AIM. My paint jobs reflect:
Ehlers’ FW190A-4, JG 1, Holland 1943
Black 13 A-3, JG 2, France 1942
Bar’s FW190A-7, JG 1, Stormede, Germany 1944
Graf’s FW190A-4, JG 2, France 1943
Beautiful Mike, they look great, thank you
I love the "star wars " themed FW190's!!!!

Here is my other project to go along with the P51's..
I have a B17 mission for these bad boys, their going to attack the crippled ship until help can arrive. Which won't be long.
Very Nice Ross.
Karl
Nice paint jobs Ross.
Great 190s to match your P-51s.

Hopefully these pictures turn out a little better than the last....
Hi Ross, It was a lot of trial and error and I'm sure there is a better way for people who know what they are doing. For the 1/48 decals from my collection, I scanned them and transferred the picture to Word. Then reduced them to the approximate size, printing off four or so sizes, picking the correct size to be put on decal paper. Other decals I found on the Internet just by searching something like "Hermann Graf decals." You should be able to find a picture of a FW-190 in his livery. Once I found that, I used the Snip Tool and/or Copy Paste to put the picture on a Word document. Printed off several pictures of the same airplane and used an actual model to compare and choose the correct size from my prints by holding the model to a printed copy. I use that as a basis for making the rest of the individual decals. That's it in a nutshell. Kind of messy and time consuming, I know, but it's the way I figured out. Good luck. BTW - Nice job on your 190's.
Thank You Sir.
Warlord Games have produced a very nice model of the early 190As at a very reasonable price, so how could I not

Very nice , John, very nice indeed!:clap:
Thanks John, that's good to know as it does make the price very appealing.
