Great to meet Andy, Irwin666, last night.
Played a 3 on 3 BoB fighter game. With 4 non players and help from Andy we managed to get through 2 introductory games.
Hoping this is the start of something new as Wings up north has been very sparse. Well North of the Wansbeck, were everybody knows the border lands start.
So if you're up for a game drop me a line.
Next Thursday 7pm, Elizabeth's Hall, Spittal, Newbiggen.
Update:
If you are in the area next Thursday, 16th January, I am starting a Wings of War League at our new club venue (address in post 2 above).
Aircraft will be provided. Random draw for nation and aircraft League Start date 1915.
Neil
Well done Neil, wish I was closer
Well the collection has sat for over 2 years unused, last roll of the dice as they say.
Neil
You are using dice?
I'm the only player up here still active who has oodles of models. Sparky can't make it to our club and the old club members who did have planes have all sold them and are playing other things. That said it would seem I have 6-9 players for next Thursday. WTS.
Neil
The League is a mix of KOTA and OTT.
Please accept my best wishes for a successful club. May it soar like a phoenix!
A phoenix rises from the ashes of the previous phoenix just as this club has risen from what remained of the previous one.
I'd like to wish you good luck Neil
Good luck with the reanimation, Neil! Sounds like a worthy job for a man of consummate skill from the North Country:sAprvd:
All the best,
Matt
Well at present I'm organising all the games and running the club. Not really my intention, I just wanted to have somewhere to turn up and play what I like playing. Hoping that the others will take the hint, 3rd month in, and start playing and bringing their own stuff and running some games for themselves.
Bitch over, now must phone the councillor in charge and organise paying 2 months rent..........
My apologies too and thank you for all the good wishes.
8 pilots, 4 different games, total sorties played 8.
Round 2 next week, could be upto 10 pilots.
Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes.. well done Neil
Hopefully the start, balloon mayhem next week.
Sounds promising, Neil! Good luck with things as you and the reanimation move forward:)
All the best,
Matt
I don't think it will produce any new forum members but at least it keeps the game alive north of Newcastle and south of Edinburgh.
Good to hear you're getting some decent numbers Neil, long may it last
