Our first “rules & components” BSG-SB expansion is going to include a number of new game features:
a more sophisticated FTL system
rules for missiles (both regular and nuclear)
rules for larger planetoids
atmospheric combat
take-offs and landing
All rules are now in place, we are at work (as you see from the photo) on prototyping the physical components for our next playtests!

A pity some of these weren't in the main rules from the start (missiles particularly). And I'm surprised the rules are being developed now. Developing key new rules "after the fact" risks them having a bolt-on feel that isn't quite coherent. There have been a number of rules in the past, published by increments, where that's happened.

Awesome! An almost-Christmas present. The extra counter pack is a welcome addition to the line.
I now have a lot more ships than one set of counters can manage, and although I was considering another Basic Set, I haven't gotten into the idea of repainting ships. Yet.
Has anyone gotten their ships on a table recently? COVID has really slammed tabletop get-togethers. Three local convention dates have drifted past, and another BottosCon date is going to drift past soon, with no gathering of gamers. So sad...

About new ships - the roll out goes like:
- Viper Mk II, Raiders, Control Panels : March
- Heavy Raider, Raptor: June/July
- Viper Mk VII, Classic Viper, Classic Raider: August/October
- Large Ships (Galactica, Cylon Basestar): 2020
2020 will also see more non-large ships of course, but at the moment I cannot be more precise than this.
Going by this, there is some possibility of getting Classic Vipers and Raiders next year (not officially, that's my speculation).
Great news on rules expansion and additional counter sheets. Definitely a must buy for me.
Yeah, haven't put them on the table for some time since all conventions have been cancelled. Guess I should try out the solo rules!
Classic Viper and Classic Raider are quite ahead in production and shipping. No official word about those yet, but I am very optimistic that it won't be long.

The Additional Counters Pack has been introduced for players with more than 4 ships. I am just wondering whether it will be necessary to buy more than one copy of the Faster Than Light Pack to have enough counters for more than 4 ships.
