Out of the office until MSunday...
Born Dover, Kent. Grew up collecting spent cartridges on the western heights and playing cowboys and indians in the bomb hollow on Plum Pudding Hill (created by a shell from a u boat). Started playing toy soldiers from age dot and into wargaming seriously by end of uni days. Took up re enactment, with the RA initially and ended up in ECWS (Fairfax) until the 90's. Became a cavalryman with the troop after a drunken orgy during which it was agreed we could stage a military coup by marching on parliament, on horseback (ok, of course it never happened). Loved those years on horseback, trying to work and raise a family in my spare time! Now reduced (love it really) to reading and playing occassional 25mm or 15 mm games in Napoleonic, ECW and ACW periods amongst others. Until, that is, I discovered WGF late in life and am loving it. I think all those early pilots were very brave and completely nuts. Amazing. Completely bowled over by the mini's too and in the last two months have spent the kids inheritance acquiring them : ) My hat off to Andrea for turning out this extraordinarily good game and managing to drag me away from that other WoW, ESO an other online games that have occupied my retirement for far too long now. Thanks also to the peolple on this site - an enthusiastic and incredibly helpful community : )
