  1. Goodevening,

Thought to send along a short bio write-up about our Couch Pilots group...

The Couch Pilots are a local group formed around three years ago, just as the
Wings of War miniatures began appearing in our NW markets. We have been
meeting to discuss and wargame the 1914-1918 air war every Sunday since
that small luncheon beginning. Our group began as 4-5 local enthusiasts and
has grown to include 16 or so regular attendees.

Wings of War, by it's nature, lends itself to continuing sessions with a changeable,
semi-regular mix of players. While we carry on overarching story lines, each week
brings a surprise as to which "flyers" will appear. The intrinsic simplicity found in the
Wings of War rules allow for easy access to new players as well as granting the
long term player the scope to think beyond simply knowing the rules, much like
    chess.

Also, rather like RPG games, one can follow the careers of one's miniature heroes...
recounting their daring adventures and victories, or the ways they were brought low.
Each "pilot" can gain experience, earning points toward veteran talents that will help
    further survival and success.

Having begun as a group of close friends, the Couch Pilots continue a tradition of
lively discussion and sharing of historical research, gaming experience, book and
movie reviews while we pursue each gaming sortie. We look forward to each new
member, for the interests and solutions they bring to the table.
