"Rozhishche, 2 August 1916: That morning Leutnant der Reserve Erwin Böhme with his observer Leutnant Lademacher of Kasta 10 took off in Albatros C.III 766/16 from their airfield at Kovel, flying south-east to conduct a reconnaissance along the Styr River. At the same time Latvian born ace Podporuchik Eduard Martynovich Pulpe (5 victories) of the 10th KAO, Imperial Russian Air Service was patrolling the front in his French built Nieuport 11. Both experienced pilots, Böhme and Pulpe met over the Ukrainian town of Rozhishche."
