I’ve just looked and the peaks in the Alps rise to 15200 feet and the ceiling of the Macchi M5 is 15000 so it would be touch and go but more likely

Sopwith Camel in flight

Here is the Sopwith Camel in the collections of the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. It has become a static display as they do not fly it anymore.
