Red Eagle have included a comprehensive construction list with this model. However I decided to add my own method of building this behemoth as the addition of cammo decals requires a slightly different approach to the build.
Clean up the casting
Open up the holes for parts with a number 62 drill.
Attach lower wing to fuselage.
Attach lower tail plane to tail.
Spray body of plane with undercoat.
Lightly wash body of plane in light blue watered down paint.
Then finish paint body of plane and details.
Cut out the Cammo decals.
Apply cammo decals to upper side of lower wing and lower side of upper wing, and test for fit.
Repeat for tail.
Apply cammo decals to body and allow it to dry fully.
Paint cammo with micro sol and allow it to set overnight.
Re open strut holes through cammo.
Trial fit wing struts following Skytrex assembly details. (Struts are made in different lengths for each set of holes).
Set up engines. Drill out prop shaft holes with a number 52 drill or nearest mm size.
Glue top struts to engine, with parts numbered 6 in front and 7 at rear. Ensure that the radiators face forwards.
Fit two parts number 4 to underside front and the 2 number 5s to rear. Short limb must face to the centre in each case. Check alignment with holes in lower wing before glue goes off fully.
When dry paint engine assembly and all other ancillary parts, before installing on wings.
Clear holes in wings through applied decals.
Glue engines and cabine struts in place, checking alignment with top wing.
Position and glue top wing in place.
Clear holes in rear tail plane and assemble with struts and rudders as for front wings.
Apply decal cammo to upper and lower outer side of all remaining wing areas.
Allow to dry and then apply micro sol. Leave over night.
Clear holes for wheel braces and tail skid.
Assemble and glue in place.
Ensure that wheels are between braces before gluing into place, and that the short leg of the braces faces forward.
Fit props and gunners.
Add decal crosses etc, and allow them to dry.
Micro sol over the decals, and leave them over night to harden off.
Varnish to taste.
