Building the Skytrex Bristol F2B.
This was quite a straight forward build if you obey the enclosed instructions about the positioning of the top wing.
Clean off the flash.
Fit the lower wing. Watch the alignment to the body. The stub struts may need tweaking.
I replaced the exhaust as I was making the Night Fighter version.
Set up the upper wing temporarily with the struts. Some holes may need attention. Ensure that the wing rear edge is in line with the front of the cockpit.
Glue in the wing struts to the lower wing in pairs. Use top wing with temporary cabine struts in place as a jig to help alignment.
Glue on top wing.
Insert your own produced rods as cabines. The supplied ones are too thick in my view.
Fill any wing holes with Green Stuff.
When set, wet and dry any high spots.
Spray on undercoat.
Paint the plane and remaining parts.
Trial fit the undercart.
Glue on the undercart. Check alignment in all directions.
Glue in the rear gunner and prop. Note you can use the four bladed version or change it to a two bladed one. Either are correct right up to 1928.
Micro set the area for decals and apply.
After ten minutes Micro sol for blending.
Allow to harden over night and then varnish to taste.
Not a bad one to attempt. Just try not to rush the stages when the glue is setting.
