My Gotha obsession spilled over into my paper models whilst the site was down

Here's the latest family photo, 4 paper, 3 Skytrex, the rest Shapeways!

It all started here on this thread with talk of making paper Gothas, so I shrunk my 1/72" scale model from Kampfflieger's collection to 1/44" scale. Notice the calm organized work area . . . notice the awesome Aerodrome mug filled with steaming coffee-a requirement at our bench . . .

Parts were cut out, fitted and glued . . . some not correctly as seen below : ( -I used the Shapeways label stock to thicken and strengthen the wings.

But we learn from our mistakes! After pausing to realize the model is much too complex at this scale, I elected to simplify things with plastic struts and other tiny bits

Out of the debris field emerges the Gothas of Paper Doom . . . the first,

Second,

Third,

And the fourth,

I put a toothpick up through the bottom wing and the fuselage which ends at the bottom of the top wing, trimmed it off at proper length to form a secure mounting pin for the game. The models are very light and will do well in the game environment if handled carefully.

And there they are, so cute! Every one should have a dozen or so . . .

Now just waiting for the Ares pair to join up and we can take over the world! (maniacal laughter) Clipper
