Paperback Summary:
Published by Albatros as a 'one-off' special in 1995, Ed Ferko's 80pp 'super Datafile' concentrates on MvR's flying career rather than as a full biography of his life like Peter Kilduff's 'Red Baron'. There are few surprises in the text, but what makes this something different are the nearly 200 photographs reproduced within, and the 15 colour profiles of aircraft in which MvR flew, from the AEG G.II in which, as an observer, he scored his first (unconfirmed) kill, to the all-red Fokker Dr.I 425/17 he was flying when he met his death. In the text there are comments on the 'plumage' of aircraft flown by other members of Jasta 11, and a series of tabular appendices give Jasta dispositions, aircraft serials allocated to Jasta 11 and serial numbers of 8 Dr.Is flown by MvR at J.11/JG.I. An excellent, detailed source from a well-respected author.

Thanks for this one Baldrick, I've looked at it several times on Amazon but never pulled the trigger... might have to move it up on my list though.
