:) G'day Folks!
I have just finished my first FE 2b which is a colinwe Shapeways model in WSF.
I mixed my own PC 10 by combining a P3 Pioneer Press Battlefield Brown with Vejello Russian Uniform Green & GWs White until I had what I thought was a good match. Undersides are GW Bleached Bone with a bit of yellow added. Struts are GW's Snakebite Leather, Booms are GW's Vomit Brown, Engine GW's Tinbits, Prop & Flying suits GW's Bestial Brown & tyres are Codex Grey. Decals are Dom's with the No. 4 from a GW Tank set. Crew are Peter Pig figures.
Pretty happy with the result & am looking forward to testing her out soon.
Attached are a range of pics & two profiles for Fee's to show the colours I was trying to achieve.

"PC10 is a bit of a slippery colour for historians to nail down as it changed from a brown to green shade as the war progressed. Additionally as it was subject to weathering it browned in colour."

Another superb effort Barry. i especially like the stencilled number, and the fact that you have given the info on where to obtain them.

A superb paintjob, Barry. The detailed description of paints and colours you used shows great skill and modelmaking care there:thumbsup:. I'm not a specialist in WWI cammo colour, but comparing to the pictures attached you had prepared a right mixture. I like the precise painting of the wheels as well. It must have been hard to achieve such a result (freehand painting?).
Now you can recreate one of the a Bloody April's missions...

Yeah Andrezj, all freehand on the wheels. Not bad for a 74 year old eh!
Must have led a quite life.
Dont you believe it!:cheezy:
Still have a very steady hand but the eyes are a bit weak now need 2 1/2 mag glasses to do the work.

:D Incidently I did not mention that the only Prep work I did on both the FE & the MS "L" was to wash the model in lukewarm water & a very soft nail brush after a light sanding of the fuselarge on the MS with an emory board that women use on their nails.
The washing removes any loose fibers that remain on the model after printing.
No varnish was then applied only about 5 coats of the final body colours & 2 coats on struts etc. Matt varnish then applied over the Decals.

Hmm interesting.
I use the Xtracolour PC10 shade on mine and it looks about the same shade!
Nice to see somebody post some decent pics of the Shapeways model to allow a comparison with the Skytrex one.
This FE2 has the later `A frame` style of landing gear and a four bladed prop unlike the Skytrex offering which has a mid-period Oleo type gear without the nosewheel and a two bladed prop.
