There's something about painting Italian planes that always makes them so enjoyable to work on. This was a real pleasure to paint.
This was the first test of decals on my works colour laser printer and I'm delighted with the results. I used white and clear decal paper from Experts Choice for the Stripes, Eagles and roundel on each side. These were coated in Microscale decal film. For the Eagles and roundels I first applied decals from the white decal paper, cutting them about 1mm too small, I then applied the decals on clear paper over the top, matching the white to the clear. It worked a treat. The tail stripes are clear decal paper.
It's painted with Vallejo paints, I used Flat Earth and Silver Grey with a pilot from Reverisco.
I'm hooked, one Macchi isn't enough!
