View Full Version : New Ray Typhoon
This maybe a bit larger than scale however, I think it's do-able.

I don't know if it's because the Me-109 is so small to begin with, but the Typhoon looks a bit too big.

Frank, I know what your talking about but the Me-109 was a very small plane and hard to see when searching the skies for enemy planes. That was a big advantage for the German pilots.

You are correct to question the size of the model.
To give some perspective:
Wingspan:
ME-109
======
Length: 29 ft 7 in (8.95 m)
Wingspan: 32 ft 6 in (9.925 m)
Hawker Typhoon
==============
Length: 31 ft 11.5 in (9.73 m)
Wingspan: 41 ft 7 in (12.67 m)
The scale for this Typhoon is 1/180. This model is 20% bigger than it should be, however for my gaming group they will accept it. At least it is not 1/144 scale size.

I don,t think the fig sive will not peove to be a problem if your using the base as a target.
