... had to go home sooner than we expected, the Friday night that we were to meet with him and we didn't, had to be spent in some memorable way. My wife said "let's invite someone to play a game" and so we did. In memory to the friend we didn't met we played a simple twist of faith with some WW1 war birds.

In one side of the table, Inês (my wife) and Chico entered play with the Entente Cordiale machines.

Inês (At this point still expecting to win the game with her Camel.)

Chico (The Great Bear - plays always like a grizzly charging - not very lucky this time.)

From the other side of the table, me and Duarte, using the Central Power flying machines.

Duarte (The luckiest man with dice or cards I know. And when he plays in an inspired way there is little anybody can do - but not that inspired in that night.)

Me (The one who has to teach the rules every time we play a game. I was in a killing spree that night.)

Inês, as I stated before, was flying the Camel, Chico had the Spad in his hands, Duarte was piloting the Albatros and I was at the commands of the RED Triplane.

I took out Chico's Spad very early in the game. He came straight against us and after I side slipped him, he understood very quickly what it means to turn very sharply. I didn't got out unscathed though... My triplane was very bruised as Duarte decided to make a long turn away from battle and during that time Inês fired twice against me. And then we faced each other in what, I thought, would be my end. I had 12 points of damage, Inês had none.

And the amazing happened... We both exploded in the air leaving Duarte alone on the skies. "I won!" he shouted. "No you didn't!" we all shout back at him - damn his luck. "You didn't fire once in the entire game", said Chico in an angry tone. And Duarte raised slowly from the table with a very dignified appearance and said: "I'm the only one alive here, so I won."

And we proceed to play FUBAR-Living Dead where we all attacked him mercilessly.

It was me who visited Lisbon that day for a court hearing the next day. Unfortunately, the hearing was postponed for some reasons and I had to fly back to Poland earlier then expected. I talked with Joaquim that night from a restaurant my group was dining and - a pity- we could not meet! We were so close to each other and our meeting plan failed:(
Hope to fly for a next hearing in the summer and meet my Portugal Friend and his wife personally!
The nice point was I was given a fancy Mercedes with a driver for a short sightseeing in beautiful Lisbon next morning! We ate some tasty Portugese Pastis de Belem had a glass of Porto and all in all - that was some reward for not meeting Joaquim.
See you next time my Friend!

P.S. - A great AAR!

Thanks, mates. And we'll meet another time, Andrzej. I had this ready to be done since that Saturday, but no time at all.
