Just received a nice box in the mail today . . .

Love the new BEAST! The new Staaken is awesome. Having built 20 of these now from scratch I can really appreciate these models.

Compared to one of mine the size, details match up wonderfully.

I am looking at adding a carbon fiber spar under the top wing for some strength, it is a bit weak since it has such a wing span. DO NOT DROP IT! Those who are into rigging it would increase its strength 100x

Again a great addition to the fleet! BTW no errors on any of them! Now into the paint shop . . . Clipper

wow...that's all I have to say! can't wait until mine arrives

couple of questions
1) what decals did you use and where can I get them?
2) is the bottom of the wings solid color or are they lozenged too?

The lozenge is the same top and bottom. I use the patterns from the "files" section for night lozenge, print them out on 8.5" x 11" white shipping label sticker stock. Cut into strips and apply to the primed model. Print the crosses on the same, cut peel and stick. Very easy buy fiddly when you get to tight places. Here is a recent application to a Hansa Brandenberg 29

Nice little "How to". Should be of use to anyone decaling any pre assembled plane, Shapeways or other.

can you link to the files area where the lozenge patterns may be found?
