Hi,

Contributed a couple of times on the aerodrome but finally decided to say hi here in the NZ wing.

I have bitten the bullet, so to speak, and ordered Famous Aces - been toying with the idea for ages.

Interested in where the minatures can be bought in NZ. I know that toyworld in Chch has items but I am in Tauranga; do I have to look past the borders of NZ and take on ebay or order through Friendly Overseas Games Stores?

Cheers folks.

Craig,
Welcome to the Aerodrome from the Cleveland, Ohio Flight.
There are alternatives to buying the Nexus/Ares planes: card models, scratch building, shapeways, etc.
See:

Welcome to the game, Craig! As you probably know, it's out of print in NZ but we'll be bringing in Wings Of Glory products as soon as they're available.

We're based in Papamoa, so you'd be welcome to pick up anything you get from us to save on postage.

Keep an eye out for Kiwi_Ace (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/member.php?9-Kiwi_Ace). He's a local, and a great guy to boot. He ran our Wings Of War event in Mt Maunganui last year.

On behalf of the Squadrons based here in Dear old Blighty, welcome to the Drome Craig.
Do pop into the Officers' Mess for a beer and a chinwag with the chaps.
Rob.

And welcome from Ottawa too Craig. Do you know "Dave" he's a WoW PBeM (Play-By-e-Mail) player that I met last Fall ... also from Bay of Plenty?
So, what's the population of Bay of Plenty? I'm envisioning about 83.

You are too humble Dave. You're top of my list for PBeM game 1 of the Spring/Summer season starting at the end of April.

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes. I do know Dave, that Seriously Board bloke seems to pop up everywhere :)

The PBEM sounds tempting - is there an official 'thing' or just ad hoc and whenever?

Cheers,
