I am looking for a F6F Hellcat game card. I am not successful in finding one on the forum. Does anyone know if there was one made for the game already? Thanx in advance.

Max Headroom has one in his WWII fighters album. If I'm looking for a card, that's where I usually start my search.

Steve!

Max`s card works great! We used it last February at the Williamsburg Muster in a free for all game. Someone from your area flew it.

You may want to check this out. The planes are cheap.

Hmmm.....

I'm gonna have to try to find one of these. I got me a 1/160 Zero from Hobby Lobby some time ago and it was noticeably larger than the 1/200 Nexus model. I've also seen a Spitfire at 1/150. But 1/190, that IS close.

The P-38 Lightning and P-47 Thunderbolt are 1/200 while the F6F Hellcat and F4U Corsair are 1/190. They work well with the WOG miniatures. Everything else is too big. I've used the P-38 a couple of times in games and it is truly a Zero killer, not to mention Yamamoto's Betty that went down in the last scenario I played.

Where can we find the P-38 and the P-47?

I found them at Hobby Lobby stores around Texas. It is the only place I've seen them and I have not seen Hobby Lobby restocking. The P-38 is hard to find. They are made by a company called New Ray. You can see them on their web site but it does not appear that they have web sales. You may be able to order them from the Hobby Lobby web site.

Warning: they are cheap, but they are assorted planes. You may not get what u want. I had to return two back already.

I just ordered a few 1/144 planes from WarWeb. They have Hellcats. The company is True North Miniatures.

Thanks for the detailed info. I did not know they made the P-38 & the P-47 (nor the F6F before this thread). I'd only seen the Zero, the Spit, and an ugly Yak or Mig (can't remember which). $5.99 for a painted 1/200 plane is hard to beat.

Now I a further incentive to accompany the the wife when she wants to go looking for craft stuff. Deck boxes at Michaels and planes at Hobby Lobby, oh my.

As for the Lightning, anything that kills Zeroes is aces in my book. After a sorry Guadalcanal campaign over the Xmas break, I HATE Zeroes! Time to print me up a card or two from Max Headroom's stash for the Easter rematch.

I have the corsair, Hellcat, lightning, and thunderbolt from this set. According to my lgs they are ordered by the case for the whole set. It took me a while to get the 4. The owner of the shop would wait till the case was sold before I could get a reorder and collect the ones I needed

Just got my first F Toys plane P-40. Compaired it to the Spitfire I have and seems much larger the the Wings model. However now I have 2 P40's.

Update: I went to two stores in the area and got another P47D and a Typhoon. However the other die cast models too large of size. I inquired if they had others in the back and they said we have what they ship us. So getting them in the store is random. If you got a P38 count yourself as lucky. Still $5.99 for a model is not a bad thing. If only I can get my Litko order for the stands. I may have photos to post in the future.

It's a shame New Ray made the models the same size instead of the same scale. They are really nice looking. I'd love to have their P-51D if it was only 1/200th scale.
