"I coulda have been a contender." - Marlon Brandon, In the Waterfront
I have my first two contenders for WW1 Wings of War/Glory. Next it will be Spad XIII and the Fokker Dr.1.
This afternoon I'll play with my wife with "existencz" made of paper.

Very nice! How long did it take you? Did you print them on paper or heavier stock? What kind of glue do you use?

Thanks.
Hi Brad. What I use is:
120 gr. paper.
Pattex wood glue (the best, imho)
3 to 4 hours per plane but I think I can lower the time.
Very nice Joaquim. I look forward to seeing more
So are these your WoW minis you've owned? If so than it's a great start. They look just like the real things (not paper).
I was wondering how you cut your parts out. Scissors or razor? If scissors, what kind?

Hi Michael:
Yes they are my first ones. A Fokker Dr.1 and a Spad XIII are on the making.
I use a razor and scissors. Normal good cutting scissors.

I use Fiskers scissors with the microtip, see: http://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-94817797-Micro-tip-scissors-double/dp/B00006IFNA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_ac_4
The Testors Hobby Knife also works well for me, see: http://www.amazon.com/Testor-Corporation-8801A-Hobby-Carded/dp/B003ZFMT7E/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1323378699&sr=1-1-catcorr

Those do look like really nice builds. I have always thought that the designer of those over did the highlights and shadows in Photoshop though :(

Thank you again, gentlemen.
It's not exactly a first attempt. I've already built other paper models.
It's my first attempt at this tiny scale and WW1 planes.
I hope I'll get better in my next planes.

Beggars can't be choosy.
Where free downloads are concerned, we will take what we can get.
At any rate the Prudenzio models look great on the gaming table and the price is right.

I for myself have donate him money as I'll be using his models.
And I do like his work a lot, more than other models that aren't free.
I would like him to do some more ww1 models, that's for sure. :)

Zio Prudenzio does several different kinds of cardmodels.
I believe that the Bismark was his last release, which certainly made the ship builders happy.
I have also donated but that may not induce him to design more WW I airplanes.

Our projects act as a benchmark of the passage of time. And the (hopeful) progression of our skills. :)

Know what you mean. I bought a set of Nieuport 11's from Shapeways & invested in an airbrush, but can't seem to find the time to learn how to use it (:() & in the interm I find myself missing building paper ones & considering opening up the factory again. :D

Its amazing what you and the other paper modelers can do with cardstock.
I have never attempted one but have the files for Snoopy's doghouse. :)

One of the things I always take on business trips and vacations is my paper model kits. It is amazing what you can do with a steel rule, exact knife, sharp scissors, glue stick and printed pages of delight! Oh and a few elves help . . .

Even we - that don't have the help of elves - can do some interesting things turning 2D into 3D. :)
