wanted to find a way for planes to hide during combat or ambush passing planes. saw some one else's "clouds", so here is my attempt at clouds.

Clouds have been mentioned on the forum before Robert, but the sheer effect that you get with yours is impressive. i must look into providing myself with some of those.

Nice Eye Candy! May I suggest that you cut a piece of white felt to match the shape of the cloud and place it under the actual model. This way you can remove the model as needed and fly the planes in to the clouds..

 Very Impressive. Are they made from Cotton Wool ?

Incidentally talking of Clouds, check out this awesome Games mat with Cloud Effects made by IBERIAN SHADOW from the Forum!

Perhaps allow a mass of cotton to set on the table and substitute the planes card for the plane when flying into the cloud.
Many problems to be solved here.
Do you have the other side "face away from the table" when you are moving your card under the cloud ?
Can you see an enemy plane well enough to shoot at him in the cloud, perhaps only at half a ruler with reduced effectiveness ?

I missed this post earlier Ken. I love all your ideas for footprinting the positions of 3D items. It is so effective yet simple. Wish I had known about it years ago.
