Flying Officer Kyte (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/member.php?236-Flying-Officer-Kyte) has written a very good "How to" (http://www.wingsofwar.org/content.php?61-Building-the-Skytrex-Albatros-DII.) for the Skytrex Albatros D.II earlier. When I got my kit though I found it "not right" shapewise, and started to use Green Stuff to correct it.

I enlarged the upper wing, making it broader from the leading edge, added area to the tail surfaces, made the lower fuselage a little "fatter", made the nose longer and added a more pronounced engine. I also replaced the flimsy landing gear struts with steel wire.

I'm happy with the result, and I really like the colours of Otto Gerbig's plane (Jasta 14).
