Quick question - how is tailing affected by altitude? Burning Drachans rules say tailing occurs when centre dot to centre dot is within 1 ruler, but the altitude section doesn't have any altitude amendments, which implies that altitude doesn't affect tailing. This seems reasonable when there's 1 or 2 levels difference, but seem a bit odd if this means a plane at level 1 can tail one at level 12.

Alternatively, tailing range is affected by altitude like firing is, so at one level different you can tail but only if centre to centre is within 1/2 a ruler - this would make more sense but means tailing's pretty difficult at 1 level different.

Does anyone know what the official position is on this? Thanks.

You can only tail aircraft which are at the same altitude or no more than one level below you (there's no change to the distance you can tail at for altitude differences). It's in the Deluxe Rules.

Thanks, Iain. That makes sense.
