Took a long time to decide to buy Kuznetsovs Hurricane.

At last I bought it.

Know the painting is horrible, but there were a few reasons to change my mind:

It's the only Hurricane version MK.IIB

One more hitpoint as the MK.I

More firepower: A+B at full distance and B+B+B at half distance

You can combine the MK.IIB with the upcomming Yaks for eastern front scenarios

Think the last point was the most important one.

If you don't like the paint job repaint it.

Good decision would be to repaint it, Sven, for the existing scheme is kinda ugly...Mark II version was used as well as a ground attack plane with 4 20mm cannons *(that was probably C version). If you convert it this way, it could be used for example in Mediterranean theater scenarios (with H-J.M model and the already existing Stuka in sandy camo). Cross my fingers for your repainting job if you dare!

...canceled my paniting and model building activity 15 years ago.:(

Maybe I buy a darker green to cover that flashy green the plane has at the moment.

I have got to admit I like it the way it is!

I'de have to agree with you Sven... It's an ugly colour, though I don't own any minis... I just play the cards!

No, it isn't -- those are 0.303s. You want hard-hitting, wait for the P-47.... >:)

Quite possibly one of my favorite things I've read on this forum. LONG LIVE THE JUG!!!

Why wait for a plane that is not in the game? For a machine gun armed Hurricane it is a hard hitting plane. It is all relative, compare aircraft with their contempories.

Given the Hurricane was in service throughout the War, any WW2 acft. is "contemporary" with it.

The Hurricane IIb could also carry 2 x 250LB or 2 x 500LB bombs in a ground attack role.

You don't have to wait for a P-47... THeres a few custom cards in my Album (assuming you play with cards only).

Essentially, the Kuznetzov Hurricane is in an early war British camoflage scheme which had its roundels and squadron codes hurridly overpainted with Russian markings.
So it has a lot of potential for some fairly straightforward repaints.
You could for example overpaint the Russian markings with colours that match the camoflage pattern leaving the serial number then apply British style Decals and lettering to depict the plane in RAF service.
Alternatively, if you want to keep it Russian you could overpaint the camoflage entirely in Russian green as actually happened with this plane later.

Reason ....because it is in the series and I have to all of them.

Sorry have to have all of them. I have all sets of WWI and WWII. So thats the main reason.
