Just completed a couple of Shapeways Junkers D.Is. These were in Frosted Ultra detail finish, which was smooth apart from small traingular cut-outs on the wings due to the layering in the print process. A couple of Peter Pig pilots finished the build

Lesson learned - Humbrol enamel varnish is not a friend of Dom's Decals. It dissolved one of the wing crosses at an impressive rate of knots. :mad:

Very cool !
Unfortunately my D1 arrived minus undercarriage, so it`s fallen to the bottom of
the `to do` list.
Shapeways sent me a voucher code, so i ordered somthing else.
I have printed out a card stock under carriage... i`ll post results (when the job`s done)

I had exactly the same problem with one of my D.1s -- that is, broken undercarriage. I had previously built a Fiddlers Green card version, so just used the undercarriage from that build. It's worked out OK.
