Well, I am not a fan of Japanese Bombers, voted for "Betty".

I guess that the betty is more representative.

I'd vote for the Betty, because of the numerous scenarios you could use it in.

I'm taking Betty to the prom instead of old Sally in the Alley. Betty's so hot the boys are calling her the "one-shot lighter" or the "flying Zippo". :D

Betty was always the prettier of the two sisters even though Sally had a narrower figure.

Betty is THE bomber for the Empire of the Rising Sun. ;)

Both of these are molded in 1/144 plastic already but the Sally is hard to find. Lets see the WoW stands for these first.

As a first model, it has to be the Betty. It was the iconic bomber in the Pacific.
As an aside....does anyone know why it recieved the name Betty?

Multi-engine Japanese aircraft were all give female names. Single engine fighters got male names. Supposedly, the Betty got its nickname because the large gun blisters reminded one of the sergeants in the Army Air Force group that came up with the naming system of a particularly busty gal friend of his.

I went with the Betty although there is a non-WoG model that is compatable.

I picked the Betty simply because it seems to figure in most of the films about the Pacific conflict that I have seen.

Actually, Japanese bombers with any number of engines were given female names (eg, VAL, KATE, ANN are all single-engine) while fighter aircraft with any number of engines were given male names (eg, NICK, IRVING, RANDY are all twin-engine).

I went with Sally, just to go against the grain. I really don't care , but hope they do something soon.

I picked the Betty. As stated before, the Betty can be used in more scenarios.

Postage Stamp Planes used to produce a 1:182 scale model of a Betty, which is a useable size for Wings of Glory, but they are out of production now. The Aerodrome Accessories Shop can supply a base.

Of course, Armaments in Miniature produce 1:200 scale models of both the Betty and the Sally and some other Japanese bombers.
