My Gotha is finished, no more lozenge or hex camo work for the moment. I have some more planes to buy still though, including a couple of Halberstadt D.IIs from Reviresco and some SPAD VIIs, a Pup, BE2c and a Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI from Skytrex...

21629
Gotha G.V "KZ" from KAGOHL 3 and Wilhelm Hippert's Fokker D.VII "Mimmi".

21697

21698
Gotha G.V "KZ" from KAGOHL 3 and Frank Linke-Crawford's Aviatik D.I from FLIK 60J.

Lozenge and other decals printed by me, the base made from a CD case. I'm happy with how it turned out. :salute:

Now I think my fiancé want to try it out at the front. :guns:

Thanks guys! :thankyou:

Perhaps I have the time for my "How to paint a Wings of Glory mat" now? Only been working on that one for a couple of months. :hmm:

Now I think my fiancé want to try it out at the front.

I'll see if I can get my partner interested in WoW/WoGL... one of the many reasons we married was that we each had a copy of Panzerblitz and a model railway.. and a giant SF collection.

And if you're fishing for compliments on your modelling skills, you're using truly excellent bait! Thanks for sharing that with us.

And if you're fishing for compliments [...]

I would NEVER! ... :o But I AM proud of these planes, and it IS satisfying to show you guys what I am proud of. But I will always know that they are not perfect in detail, colors or otherwise.
I have found different kind of builders on this site. Those that are happy and proud, and they should be!, if they just have something they've built and painted themselves, and those that are truly masterful in their modelmaking regarding model details, color matching, painting skills, historic research. I am more of the first group, my Siemens-Schuckert with the wrong colored wings and the Albatros with blistered wings as a case in point. ;)
None the less, It is nice and heart warming to get compliments from you guys... :drinks::singin:

Case in point...

Two more very fine examples of the work of Jorgen. I'm going to need to get off my backside and earn my corn if you keep trotting planes out at this rate of knots.

I was thinking along similar lines there Rob... puts my stuff to shame... and there always seems to be something getting in the way of my building and painting...

Permit me to differ.

Seriously, that Gotha is something special, and your "flawed examples" would be considered master-class despite any imperfections.

I will add my compliments to your beautifully turned out Gotha!
Great home printed decals, they look painted on and a real credit to your ability.

Right on there Ken. Don't real life get in the way a lot. i never have to stop for gardening or to get my eyes fixed in the virtual world. Even if I get shot down and killed I'm back for the next battle.:guns:

Great work!

That's the quality I expect for the Wings of Glory Bomber Miniatures.
