Well done Boney! The spinning prop is fantastic.
Have you ever tried any tricks to avoid the effect of "shining" transparent decals? This is a 2 step procedure to eliminate it in 99%:
1. Dip the decal into water mixed with vinegar - it should make the decal very "elastic" after sliding off the paper.
2. When the decal gets dry, cover (paint) the whole model with a ... (not joking, a use this, I swear! - will try to describe it) chemical agent (liquid of a loose consistence) used to polish furniture. It's called Sidolux here, but may bear a different name in your country. It's easy to apply and dries very fast. It also secures a model and the decal and gives the whole thing a half-matt real look.

Cheers Andrzej, I do have to matt varnish the model which will, hopefully dull down the decal edges a bit.
not used the technique you mention I shall have a look see if I can find something similar to what you describe.
Some of the shinyness of the decal,is, unfortunately partly due to the type of decal pic plus what i used a the template. The model was painted a better black than my printer printed the decal paper. I may just go over the edges in black to try and blend. But I dislike this model, not the colour scheme, so not sure if it will remain long in my collection. If/when the official DR1 are released again I may do it again with a better program and printer

Just spent hours trying to match up decal green to a mix of paint I used for my Spad. In the end I gave up before the printer ink all ran out, and dodged in the edges. It looks O.K. and my ink is still there!

A very useful little addition to my collection of peripherals. Thanks Chris, they will come in very handy. Bye the way, I have had no problems ink jet printing onto OHP sheets in spite of what the blurb says.
