After a few refreshments, and some shopping, our pilots regroup and remount their flying steeds for some Free-For-All-Furball Action:

From Left to Right: ToddWF, Jim, and Mark! (Hopefully I can drag Jim and Mark onto the forums so I can add them to the flight roster as well!)

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20171&d=1313100937

From Left to Right: Mark, Jager and The Cowman (me). The odd colored substance in the Mt. Dew bottle is Diet Coke... no... really... I swear on a stack of Superman Comic Books!

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20170&d=1313100894

Again from Left to Right: TommyZ, ToddWF, and Jim. Taking the last three pictures, but forgetting to take one of himself would be our Squadron leader CappyTom.

For Round 2 we played on a smaller map set, and played with all damage cards shown openly... here you can see the pounding my DR.I has taken, but thanks to Zeros and Ones I am still up... (for now)

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20158&d=1313100102

I manage to get my DR.I too close to Jager's SE5.A to get in a shot... but not far enough away from CappyTom to avoid taking a few shots down my left side...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20157&d=1313100093

Meanwhile, my prey, the infamous World War Flying Ace Snoopy in his custom Sopwith Camel, is managing to pull away and elude my chase!!! AAAARRRGGHHH!!!

Jager and Mark (Snoopy) have managed to take a little bit of damage so far in this round...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20155&d=1313100077

...meanwhile Jim's Albatross has been seriously shot to pieces...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20151&d=1313099890

ToddWF's DR.I is looking a little worse for wear as well!

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20148&d=1313099787

TommyZ and CappyTom have both taken light damage so far...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20147&d=1313099785

ToddWF just misses an opportunity at the Bonus Recon Objective, but manages to pour hot lead into TommyZ's SE5A. So hot, in fact, that his plane bursts into flames! Tommy gets in a beautiful shot on Jim's Albatross at the same time, and then notices that things are heating up quickly in his own cockpit... ;)

ToddWF gets in a long range shot on CappyTom and reduces his kite to flaming bits. It was reported that a small ghostly pilot with angel wings was seen floating away from the area... Oh wait...that was a fly...Never mind!

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20143&d=1313099604

Jager manages to put TommyZ into the ground, with Jim getting in an assist from behind as well...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20142&d=1313099602

Snoopy (Mark) gets in his second kill of the round on ToddWF...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20140&d=1313099498

Jager demonstrates some incredible bullet dodging... 10 cards, but only 9 points of damage and no serious special damage.

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20139&d=1313099494

CappyTom turns TommyZ's SE5A into a cloud of flames and ash...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20138&d=1313099483

After having been shot down four times so far in the day (six times if you count the DoW pickup game before the tournament) The Cowman finally scores a kill, and watches Jim's Albatross auger in...

...meanwhile during the same turn, smoke pours from ToddWF's DR.I as he tangles with CappyTom!

The Cowman, Jager, and Snoopy close for a final encounter in the second round. A little birdy was telling me that I was no going to survive the encounter... I should have listened to the little birdy...

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=20133&d=1313099324

TommyZ shows off some incredible luck of his own when it comes to the cards...

Once again the ringing of the final alarm brings the round and the tournament to the end... Seven worthy warriors went in, and six came out... with some ground beef on hand for a handy snack!

In the end, the overall standings for both rounds came down to this:

Champion - Mark: with 3 Kills, 2 assists, 1 Escape, 4 Objectives and No Demises for a total of 29 pts.
2nd place - Jager (Karl): with 4 Kills, 1 Objective, and 1 Demise for a total of 12 pts.
3rd place - CappyTom (Tom): with 3 Kills, 2 Objectives, and 2 Demises for a total of 9 pts.
4th place - Jim: with 1 Kill, 3 objectives and 2 Demises for a total of 8 pts.
5th place - ToddWF (Todd): with 3 Kills, 1 Objective, and 3 Demises for a total of 3 pts.
6th place - TommyZ (Tommy): with 1 Objective and 4 Demises for a total of (-15) pts.
Dead Last - The Cowman (me): 1 Kill and 5 Demises for a humbling total of (-22) pts.

As I mentioned in the second part of this AAR, a total of $125 in gift certificates went out to all six players in the tournament. Our Champion, Mark, also received a very appropriately decorated "Master of the Ohio Skies" framed certificate, and I am now the owner of my very own cheeky Bullseye award. I will hang it in my Hobby room with pride!

Here we have the whole crew -
Back Row from Left to Right: Jim, ToddWF (Todd), The Cowman (me), and Jager (Karl)
Front Row from Left to Right: TommyZ (Tommy), Mark, and CappyTom (Tom)

No minis or small furry animals were harmed during the production of this After Action Report...All pictures were taken and posted with the express verbal permission of the staff and management of The Soldiery. Many Thanks to The Soldiery for hosting this tournament and our prior and upcoming Columbus area events.

Thus ends this lengthy AAR!

Note from the Cowman: During this particular Sunday I was shot down a somewhat embarrassing seven times. Should this streak happen to continue, I will be petitioning Herr Oberst to change my user-name to "Ground Beef"... HOWEVER I would like to say that I had an absolute BLAST! I was among fantastic company, and fun was had by all! I have said it before and I will say it again: "I love this game and I could not be prouder to be a part of this Aerodrome!"

I also had a great time playing even though I scored ZERO kills & kept drawing the BOOM card! It seemed I would do the initial damage & someone else would claim the kill :serious:

Thanks Ken for your hard work & running a great event!:medal:

 Great AAR, and great pics too, Ken. Just one question - how did you survive to reach the rank of Major given the number of times you crashed and burned?
