As of lately, I have been rather slow at posting since Origins ended, mostly due to medical "Stuff" and life in general... BUT... as promised to my Columbus players, ere is the AAR from our Game Day on July 3rd, 2011 at The Soldiery (http://www.thesoldiery.com)in North Columbus.
We had a total of five players show up, including myself (Thanks to a very kind ride from Misdomingo AKA Ann). We were looking for something a little different to do and Ann suggested that we try one of the scenarios she had recently downloaded from the site. So we send out a salute to Flying Officer Kyte and his Balloon Away (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=782)mission. This is our run at it...
Royals and I chose to fly the three Entente Aircraft hunting down the "drifting" Balloon, while Misdomingo, Mighty Patman and Mark chose to defend the Balloon for the Central Powers.

Look!!! OMG!!! Actual WoW and DoW Product!

Misdomingo AKA Ann... and MORE Product!

Our Awesome Ohio Squadron Banner makes its first appearance in a Columbus Game Store!

And the Balloon chasing begins! Thanks to Flying Officer Kyte AKA Rob for this nifty scenario...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16614&d=1310621062
The Balloon has taken a few shots from Royal's (AKA James) Spad... meanwhile a certain bovine SE.5a lines up for a run...

The Chase continues on:
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16613&d=1310621030
The DVII's and the E.IV go after the Spad... and no the Cowspotted Tripe is not on fire... the counter is holding the card in place on an uneven spot at the table...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16612&d=1310621019
Uh Oh.... not looking so good for Royals as Misdomingo and Mighty Patman (AKA Patrick) line up for some payback!
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16611&d=1310621008
Meanwhile Mark's E.IV is putting three guns worth into a very unlucky Tripehound...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16610&d=1310620948
The Balloon continues to burn from Royals lucky shot as the fight ensues and the SE.5a moves closer... The wind continues to blow the Balloon across the countryside...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16609&d=1310620941
It almost seems as if the Balloon has a mind of its own and is running... Misdomingo seems to have her sights on that SE.5a now...

So far no casualties... yet..
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16608&d=1310620933
Meanwhile the Tripehound comes around for some revenge on the Fokker E.IV...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16607&d=1310620924
...just in time for Mighty Patman and Mark to both turn on the Tripe...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16606&d=1310620917
Misdomingo and Royals are dancing as Cowman's (thats me) SE.5a closes for a shot finally...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16604&d=1310620791
Its a bad day for Cowman Clone #1 as the Tripe goes down in flames!
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16601&d=1310620762
Its a turn later, and the wind has shifted... blowing the Balloon along the edge of the battlefield as Cowman Clone #2 pursues! Note the stack of damage cards next to the Balloon. What you can't see is that they are almost all Zeros...
(and we continue on...)

One plane down...and a burning Balloon still up...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16600&d=1310620757
The German planes are moving in again as Royals heads for the Balloon to assist the SE.5a.
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16599&d=1310620753
Misdomingo is not giving up on taking me down, and Mighty Patman is on the way to add to the carnage!
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16598&d=1310620749
Speaking of Carnage... Royals has seen the end of this flight as he manages to put in for a bumpy and rather toasty landing... the hard way... as Mark claims a solo kill on the Spad.
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16597&d=1310620744
It looks bad for the Entente, as the Balloon has blown completely to the opposite end of the battlefield, and Cowman's bird is pouring smoke from the engine...
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16597&d=1310620744
In the end, Cowman's Clone #2 goes down as well under a barrage of fire as he makes a last ditch run on the Balloon. The Balloon manages to survive the encounter with one damage point remaining. (We will be nice and assume the Boche managed to get the fire put out...) ;-)

Here we have four of our five pilots, From left to right: Mighty Patman (AKA Patrick), The Cowman (AKA Me), Mark, and of course Misdomingo (AKA Ann)!
Royals said something about having to go beat up some little kids in a martial arts class... so he had to split...
(And so the fight ended... but the pictures continue...)

Mark had a couple of nice minis to show off and I promised him I would put p a few pics for him. Hopefully he will get around to registering on the site, and will be able to read any comments you folks have for him! I will have to get Misdomingo to work on dragging him in here... ;)

...and Snoopy from the side...
And so concludes our AAR for this evening. I will now return to working on the rest of the Origins' pics, videos and AAR's, all while preparing for our upcoming tournament in August, and continuing with the dozen or so so painting and building projects I have lined up in the queue... in other words, expect me to still be slow... ;)
The Cowman is signing out and going to bed... (Did I mention I have a date with a pretty lady tomorrow night?? Who would a thunk it possible???? :) :)
