A very difficult choice went for Hans Krischstein in the end.
Interesting that 8 of the 9 where German planes.
Are allied planes too boring.

Fantastic work everyone, a very difficult choice and any of them would be worthy winners.

Are allied planes too boring.
Yes, yes they are. The only one I've ever found to be a reasonable repaint without custom decals is George Felix Madon's SPAD XIII, but we'll have that one commonly available soon enough...

I am unsurprised, but still amazed, to see the exceptional quality of these entries.

I agree - very nice job by all contestants, and a very difficult choice for all the voters!

That was nasty, I've been up and down the list 5 times!!

Well done to all, seriously not enough to split the field so I went with what I'd like to be seen in

Uhh! Look! a SPAD!!

My own addiction aside - actually I think all of the above have some nice details on them, so it was actually hard to choose.

Nice work everyone!

Cheers! :salute:

I have to say number 4. Georges Guynemer - Escadrille N.3 looks even better in person. I would go as far as to say its better then store bought. The photos do not do it justice.

I really had to go with the fictional stripes... It is hard to tell whether those were painted, airbrushed or decaled, but no matter the method they were nye perfect... Awesome to behold on the playing surface I would guess. ;)

Great paint jobs, all very striking. Too late for this one but how do you enter? I've not seen a competition announced, did I miss something obvious? Dope!

Announcements are made here on the forums as well as other sites. I all so place a Notice at the top of the site (shows up in a pinkish box that you can dismiss once you read it) when important things happen here on the site.

Extremely tough choice here. :hmm: Feel guilty with no talent voting on these beautiful jobs by talented folks. I looked hard, but did not see an "All of the Above" choice. :D
