Kiwi wing logo

Hey guys how about we sort out some sort of logo for the kiwi wing.
Perhaps a map of NZ with a Kiwi or silver fern. Maybe a Sopwith Triplane with a Kiwi on it. Our first aces flew Triplanes.
What do you guys think?

Where is this for? Regardless I think it is a great idea (as if my avatar doesn't give that away!) I vote for including the kiwi roundel (even though it isn't accurate for the era) since it just looks cool :)

Very nice start. How about putting the NZ into one of the ferns like with the WW1 cap badge and replacing the other with a slightly scaled down prop

I think I prefer the black ferns. Having said that the Black background looks good but uses a lot of ink when printing. Can you just outline the silver fern with black?

Hmmmm I think I like the first black one best. The ferns look a bit like wings.

I personally like Chris' rework of Linz's logo but with a better scroll and see no need to stick with Duality.

really like the banner Alan. Wingless was a little kiwi in joke.....

Not too sure I like the font in the banner though. Maybe because it is all caps.

Also wondered if giving the roundel an aging effect would help.

My two Favourite are in no particular order
Alans Black wing
and
Ians Black fern with roundal (with the ferns the same as the one with the triplane)

I've gone off the first ferns I used because all I see is lips (thanks to the friend who pointed it out to me...!)

I'm not sure we've managed to hit the nail on the head yet so I'll try and explore some more different ideas over the next few days when I find time. If anyone has an idea and can't figure out how to make it work technically post your ideas and me or someone else can try and make it :)

I really like the kiwi most excellent. could you try rotating the wings down so the shape becomes more rectangular.

Kill all the wording for now as I think your on a winner here.

Really nice. Like it alot. Only real suggestion is to shorten the nose (and maybe thin it).

Was thinking it needs goggles too! Gets my vote as it is!

I'm afraid if I shorten the nose (beak) it may not look like a kiwi! Goggles may be worth a try as long as it doesn't make it look tacky...
