Everyone, please be aware that Max Headroom and I are re-working the medals. If you see some you have disappear or new ones get added, please bear with us.

If you want to say thanks for a medal that you receive, please post it here instead of sending a PM... that will help save me a lot of time!

Thanks,

The Col.

Well thanks then,

I was kind of wondering why that email regarding a medal showed up.

I think you solved donation medals system very elegant - it is better to have a one for all donations then 1 for every one donation. And it reflects the real system better than old way of honoring

Yes, the new medals are definitely of the spiffy variety. Every time I check another thread I seem to have acquired more gongs. Will soon need JATO pods to get the old bus off the ground at this rate :D

Attention all:

The criteria for the "Time in Service" medals have changed. To be legible for the medal, you most have been a member of the site for 1 year (there are different medals for 2, 3, 4, and 5 years) and you must have at least 500 posts. This change was made so that the medal gave recognition to active members, and not just everyone that signed up on the site and never came back. Now, I know some of you have been here for a year and have a couple of hundred posts to your name, I am sorry, but the cut off had to be placed somewhere and 500 posts was a nice easy number. If you are really upset about this... get to posting!! lol

That is all.

No worries there Gunners... you are being transferred to the bomber wing, so you will have plenty of room to take off!

Two things Col. First an apology for not seeing this thread until now. I've been busy sewing on my new medals. Second, I endorse the comment about standardisation. I look a bit less like a Russian Commisar now. Only a bit less mind you.
Also it is great to see Bumblie on the site again. We have missed his regular input.
Rob.

You guys need to thank Max Headroom for all the hard work he done on these medals. With out him we'd still be stuck with the old ones.

Yes, it is nice to have him back!

I for one am feeling quite exposed in all of this.

I'll have to volunteer for an individual augment deployment to rack up some bling.

Some of you look you have a fruit salad under your names

I've added a menu link under the Community tab that goes to the page that shows all the medals, what they are for and who has them... if you are interested in that kind of stuff :D
