I dont have much for DoW but am looking at getting into it a little more. I bought a 1/144 Ki-61 "Tony", does any of the booster packs have this plane in it?
Thanks

The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien is in Fire from the Sky, and a series 3 mini, don't know if that's the same as the 'Tony'?

Tony = Allied name for Ki-61 and Ki-100.
Fighters got male names (A6M being Zeke for standard and Hamp for clip-wing, latter originally being "Hap" until General Arnold threw a fit), bombers got female names (for example, G4M Betty, H8K Emily, B5N Kate, D4Y Judy).

Thanks for the info. it looks like I need to p/u the Fire from the Sky box set.
I'm trying to decide if I want to use the DoW aircraft or goto 1/144 and buy them.

Tony!
The Fire from the Sky set is a great expansion! You will like the Tony, the set has two different Ki-61`s and one Ki-100 type. The choice between the scales is a personal one. I had 144 scale planes before DOW came out. Check out my photos for some shots of past games!

To be completely accurate:
Male names: Fighters of all types (land- or sea-based; single or twin engines); reconnaissance seaplanes.
Female names: Bombers of all types (regular; attack; dive-); reconnaissance acft., land- or CV-based.
Tree names: Trainers.
Bird names: Gliders.
Exceptions did exist, tho'.
