The first incounter was a basic dogfight. We were out searching for observation planes when we ran into some enemy scout planes. The dreaded Austin in his red Albatross gets on my tail and doesn't stop till my ailerons are shot away and I'm forced out of the fight with a crash landing. barely making it out alive.

Hello All, We had a great turn out. There was ten of us. Thank you all for coming, Crystal, Jill, Tim, Ken, John, Ben, Kevin, Brian and Austin.

Now I'm going to try to recount what happened that day. If I'm off please correct me. Thanks

Here is Snoopy flying around before Baron Von Austin shot him down too.

Here is Ben and Brian shooting Kevin down. Kevin was a little green and was still getting use to his kite. If he just had a little more time. It's just when we get replacements in, there's just no time to give them some helpful hints. He got separated from his wing-man and the rest is history. I can only hope he pulled it out before he hit the ground.

Our first dogfight and all allies where shot down with the greatest of ease. But alas Ken the Cowman came to avenge us. It was four to one. Ken yelled that they should go back and get more.

In no time Ken took out the Baron Von Austin. The dog that shot up my kite.
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9688&d=1298772599And then there was three.

Then pow Brian was taken out.
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9687&d=1298772532Then there was two. Ken went head to head taking one of them out before taking the final tat tat tat...

More to come on the battle of the balloons.

The Balloon Mission:

Here we are me in my number 2 Spad and taking on 3 German kites. Both sides were doing a race for each others observation balloons. I just finished shooting at the Albatross when Brian did a 90 degree turn and shot at me. Also you can see Austin in the background. http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9686&d=1298772352

Here's another view. If you look closely flying under Brian is Ken making a B-line for the enemy's balloon. http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9684&d=1298772209

Ken in one amazing shot hits pay-dirt and boom down goes their observation balloon. http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9683&d=1298772043

We should have ended it there cause I got shot down again after that. I think it was Tim or Crystal who did it. I can't remember.

Here is some photos of the battle of Midway.

Here you can see Crystal in her Zero and Kevin in his Wildcat going head to head. Kevin's bird catches fire. http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9710&d=1298776159

Crystal and Kev flip back on to each other and Crystal goes down bailling out over the sea. But Kevin's bird can't take the heat and goes down soon after.

In this photo I am taking on 2 Wildcats as Jill in the back with her red-nose Wildcat turns to go after here boyfriend on the other side of the island. http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9709&d=1298776091

In this fur-ball Baronvontigger is credited with 2 jap kills. Congrats to the Americans for protecting Midway island and thanks again for all that showed up. Look forward to next time.

There are more photos of the battles on my home page, you can see them here (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/album.php?albumid=455).
Please leave a note on any photo you recognize, as to your actions that day. Thanks

First of all , obviously a great series of games. Second. Go ken go. Third. I was intrigued by the Second World War dogfight, as Stormkahn is trying to draw me to the dark side. No doubt he will reveal all in good time.

Thanks for all the pics, Tom. An excellent AAR and it looks like everyone had a great time. :)

I must say I'm impressed that Ken nearly survived a 4 on 1. :)

Yep. But Ben was the last one flying. Ken took one with him on his way down.

That was a good day for me... 5 kills total and I even got to sit next to Austin's pretty young girlfreind in the DoW game and help her pour lead into Tom's Zero... still can't believe he survived that head to head... who could ask for more??

I put my pics up up here (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/album.php?albumid=459). I just have not had a chance to finish adding the captions. Been flat on my back a lot lately.
