I have the book, been a while since I read it - bought it to get the 'other sides' view, very pleased I did. I won't spoil it for you but I think you'll be impressed by Knocke.

Yes, I have this one too. It's been years since I read it as well, but remember it being good.

I think I read this a long time ago. I will go to the library today. When was it published? What model was Knocke flying with "the new 30mm cannon"? I must give credit to the video team. Better than a lot of stuff I have seen on TV lately!

His name is spelled Knoke, not Knocke.

That was very interesting. I have also read his book, more than 30 years ago, and found it very interesting too.

The way the narrator pronounced his name - almost like k-NOOK-ah I had not heard before. I had thought the German pronunciation would be k-NOK-ah.

In Iowa they pronounce it k-NOAK (2nd syllable rhymes with oak). Here in Ohio we pronounce it one syllable - NOAK, with a silent "k".

-Larry Knoke

Even though I'm more of a WoW guy rather than DoW, these were 2 great clips! Thanks...

The Messerschmitt Me109G-6/U4 had an engine mounted 30 mm cannon. Some had 2 additional 30 mm cannons, one below each wing. They could also carry the 21cm rocket mortar. I used to have an Airfix model. The Me109K-6 also carried 3 30 mm cannons.
