Barker's Camel

I stumbled across a picture of Barker posing in front of his Camel (Air Aces- Christopher Shores page 31) and noticed some differences between it and the mini, firstly on the pic the arrow through the heart aims towards the rear of the plane as opposed to the mini, now this could be because the photo is reversed, secondly the amount of black and white bands , on the pic 4 white & 3 black on the mini its 7 & 6.

Is this a different Camel than the one the mini represents or is the same? I always thought the minis were totally (well as much as possible) accurate?

Yes, the marking on his Camel changed over time. There is a site the shows the progress of this pretty good. I'll have to look it up, but it's linked here on the site some place.
