DoW goes WoW

Anyone ever tried to play DoW with the three card maneuver rule from WoW? I just thought that this might spice up the game feeling a bit. We like the planes very much but the game feels pretty slow and dogfights are painfully boring.
I'm not sure if this might work but we'll give it at shot. So I would just like to have some thoughts on this one.
