Today I have printed 2 planes and some pegs as a test
3x Bomber pegs
3x Fighter pegs
1x Fokker E3 from thigiverse (Model from "decapod")
1x Albatros D.V (sample at Kickstarter from Wargame3D studio)
321905
The Pegs and the Albatros are very good
The Fokker.....hmm...na ja.
1.) the propeller nose is missing. Also when you attach a transparent plastik circle...its still missing (I have already asked the designer)
2.) the elevator is SUPER fragile. After removing the supports it broke (need to be re-printed).
3.) what is the purpose of the strange contrunction onto the plane? It is inside the stl file? Something original?

I will cure, dry and prime them. Then I can start painting.
For me: I'm very happy about the Wargame3D plane printing quality......I have ordered the set of 32 different WW1 planes.
Best
Lutz
If someone interested, I'll post the progress here :-)

How do the pegs compare to official ones?

Here is the Albatros after the prime

Now its easier to see any details
And after curing, they are not fragile anymore. ;)
Otherwise my clumpsy fingers will break everything all the time
For the pegs.....
I have used exact the same dimensions as the original ones (caliper checked). You can mix them now. (Printing layer height is 0.05mm) My printed ones are not so 100% clear (Im too lazy for polishing) so I will use them for spares (and for glueing the magnets on top)

That has come out really well. Can't wait to see it painted.

Lutz - propeller nose ? If you mean the spinner the Fokker doesn't have one - looking at the prop sat atop the fuselage it looks complete. Is that what you meant by the strange construction ? Or is it the A frame in front of the cockpit - that's what the wing warping wires run through to help steer the plane.
