View Full Version : Getting into the game

I bought a second hand copy of Invasion Kickstarter pledge and probably want some more stuff. I can buy the mk III and mk IV at retail and probably will.

But ai want to have some ordinary dig fights also, I'm mostly interested in WW2 before WW1 but knowing almost nothing about the game perhaps it won't matter much for the experience?

I'm thinking of either buying 2-3 planes extra or the Battle of Britain for WW2 stuff that I also can use in T&T.

Is it correct that I need something more than what I get from the Kickstarter package to do dogfights? Thinking of Battle of Britain for WW2 and/or WW1 rules and accessories pack for WW1 stuff?

Please help 😀

Hi Magnus, if you're going to expand on the WGF side of things I'd recommend that you pick up the RAP as it contains all the rules plus for all the plane types (fighters, tandems, bombers) as well as the balloons, trenches, bombing & AA which may open up further gaming opportunities for you to explore. If you decide to go the WGS route the BoB set will do the same as well as giving you some models to try out.

Thanks! Will start with WW1 stuff, so I'll get that box. Ordered some planes from a store that was at good price (last in stock) and probably need to balance with other units later. Anyway I ordered these:
RAF R.E.8 (Marsh/MacKay Dempster)
Albatros D.Va (Udet)
Breguet BR.14 B2 (Audinot/Hellouin De Cénival)
Phönix D.I (Gruber)

Thanks for the reply!
