I've decided I will try to post a new episode every friday, but please excuse me if I don't get it done by then, like now.

Interception

July, 1917
"I love this new Camel," Marcus says "I just took 'er for another test run, and she was so-" Major Cornell, an experienced ace, rushes in.
"Collins, Collins! An outpost near the front lines has spotted a German bomber group due north. They're headed this way, and the Col. wants you to meet 46th Squadron and intercept the Germans. Go! Move out!"

My Squad and I scramble to our planes and take off in the enemy's direction. Eventually we meet up with 46th Squadron and form up with them. When we approach the Germans from above, the 46th Squadron Commander Moves his wings and the entire formation begins to dive out of the clouds. My squadron and I follow and I give the hand signal to attack at will. They break off and we burst into the enemy formation, and the deafening clatter of machine guns, friend and foe, nearly burst my eardrums. There were about 15 German bombers that I later learn to be LVG C.IIs. About 4 bombers succumb to the initial attack, and the Albatros D.V and Dr.I escorts scramble at the sudden assault. I pull behind another bomber and ram some bullets right into his tail pipe, but then smoke smears my sight and I pull away. I see Liam, in the midst of the chaos, pull behind an Albatros and rip it's wing right off it's frame! Suddenly, a cluster of bullet holes erupt in my fuelselage, and I turn to see a Fokker Dr.I coming at me from above! I bank to the left, but the German turns with me. I turn and flip and pitch and roll, but the enemy fighter won't let go! Then, out of nowhere, the Fokker bursts into flame, falling away to reveal a Sopwith Triplane from 46th. I salute the pilot and pull away, and fly straight for an LVG. I blast the gunner and pilot, and the plane falls to the ground. Then to my horror, I spot Marcus in his Camel being pursued by 3 German escorts! I max my throttle and soar to my buddy's aid. I rattle off a few bullets, and scare away one of the two Albatros escorts. I attempt to frighten the second Albatros, but this one stays on Marcus. This time, I line up the German in my sights, and smoke belches from his engine! He loses control and falls away. I would follow, knowing the German faked it to make his escape, but Marcus is more important. The final German fighter was a yellow Dr.I. He was apparently the leader of the small group, as he was the one actually firing at Marcus. I pump lead into his plane and it shutters, causing the German to pull away. Marcus banks back into the fray, but I follow the Dr.I. His flying skills were amazing, and he was giving me great trouble trying to stay on his tail. He pitches down into a near vertical dive, spinning his plane as to confuse me of his direction; and he was succeeding. I nearly blacked out, he was making me so dizzy. He suddenly pulls up and rolls his plane into a cloud bank, and I think he has retreated. I fly back towards the battle, but suddenly, the yellow Fokker bursts from the clouds nearly crashing our planes together! A furious duel ensues, and I can barely keep control of my erratic Camel. I somehow manage to fire a short burst through his tailwing, and he begins to fishtail. I believe he's been severely wounded, and move in for the kill. I'm about to pull the trigger when he suddenly spins his plane around in one lightning-fast movement! I am forced to pull away as his maneuver would have completely destroyed both our aircraft! I Immelmann back on the enemy, and we engage in a head-on pass. His aim was impeccable, but my sturdy Camel endures the punishment. His delicate Dr.I, however, can't withstand my brutal assault and his propeller shatters in his face! The German finally spirals out of sight, and I fly back towards the battle.

By this time the allied forces had pushed the Germans into retreat, and the Squadron leader signals the return. 46th squadron was smaller than it was when it entered, but not as many as the Germans. My squad form up on my tail and we head home, beat from a tough battle.

Epilogue
"Wait, What'd you say that Fokker looked like?" Tom says
"Oh, I don't know," I reply "yellow, maybe some black on the wingtips."
"You know what that means, don't you?" Liam gasps.
"No, am I missing something?"
"Apparently." Marcus says "There's been a rumor going around about some new ace, they say his name is Helmut Vicus. His plane looks exactly like the one you took down!"
"No way!" Liam yells "I should've gotten him!"

Hunter as soon as I get a chance to, I will be happy to post some basic instructions on how to start a Blog... it is really not hard. Adjusting the settings to change how it looks can be a little complicated, but I am betting you could pick that up pretty easily as well, being as bright as you are. I'll get back to you soon!
