2:00, 2 players (Allied), 6 planes

Date of mission: 1st June 1940
Location: Coastland near Dunkirk, France
Story: Squadron Leader Tyson and Pilot Officer Klán ambushed two German medium bombers on their way to the evacuation beaches near Dunkirk. They were escorted by two Bf.109, but obviously with a non-experienced pilots. Junkers Ju.88 ended on the ground after the first maneuvres of S/L Tyson and minor assistance of P/O Klán. RAF pilots continued with the second target (Do.17), but suddenly one of the escorting Bf.109 fired precisely and shot down P/O Klán. This accident gave S/L Tyson time to approach Do.17 from it's 6 o'clock and finish him. S/L Tyson did not risk and turned to base without dogfighting any of Messerschmitts. P/O Klán escaped from the enemy territory, but he is injured and he'll be off service for several weeks.

Nice AAR, Dan.

Unlucky 8-point-hit by the Bf.109, but the Czech pilots proof again to aim precise & deadly.

Well done. :salute:

On the other side, for Junkers it was like an execution and Dornier had not much more chance. The cost for two "big birds" was relatively low (lower than I expected).

Let's continue to the second act now!

Great pictures and great inspiration, gents!

My Dorniers and Hurricanes are scheduled to show up on my doorstep today, some Me 110s and more fighters in a week or two. I'm looking forward to flying similar missions.

So what do you think about Me.110 minis, Mike? I have the one from Norwegian campaign and really like it :minis:

Well played Daniel!

Thank you, gentlmen. To be honest, I feel a strong need to play something. We started with Thurn und Taxis last week with my wife, but it was, hmm, too peaceful :D

Great report.
Is it a typo to have written Do.217 Z-2 (instead of Do.17 Z-2) ?
the production of Do 217 began in late 1940 and it entered service in early 1941.
